Thats what I thought. Sometimes soaps drag these out so long that people eventually just lose interest! Kat's affair in Eastenders being a prime example!

Its actually getting to the point where I'm getting so angry with the storyline I dont want to watch it anymore!

Tyrone and Fiz are hiding out in Wales. Tyrone is desperate to get out of the UK, so he begs Fiz to phone Chesney and ask him to get them some cash and their passports. Worried about his sister's involvement, will Chesney agree?

At the same time, Kirsty agrees to do a public appeal for baby Ruby.

Meanwhile, Izzy and Gary take Faye to the cinema to cheer her up. But when she gives them the slip, Anna starts to panic. Where is she?

Elsewhere, Sylvia makes out that she's lost her watch and then says she's got an appointment in town, but refuses to elaborate. Roy is deeply concerned by her strange behaviour and fears that his mother might be ill.

Also today, Beth and Kirk are excited about moving into the butcher's shop flat, while Gail decides to play Kylie and David at their own game.

Despite Katy's threats, Chesney meets up with Fiz.

As Chesney hands over the cash and passports, he does his best to make Fiz see that the police will catch up with them eventually. But is Fiz prepared to listen?

Meanwhile, Tim returns Faye to Number 6, explaining how Faye lied to him by claiming that Anna had okayed their meetings. Anna accepts this, but when Tim tells her that he wants visiting rights to see Faye, how will she react?

Elsewhere, when Roy follows Sylvia into town, he's horrified to see her being manhandled out of a casino. Does Sylvia have a gambling problem?

Also today, Gail continues to play the lodger.

    Wednesday

As Kirsty is reunited with Ruby, Tyrone is questioned by the police. Tyrone tells them Fiz had nothing to do with Ruby's abduction - it was all his idea.

Fiz is released with a caution, but what will Tyrone's fate be?

Meanwhile, Anna wonders if she should back down and let Tim have access visits with Faye, but Owen is adamant that she mustn't give in to Faye's tantrums. However, when a row breaks out - which sees Faye's computer get smashed - will Anna continue to agree with Owen's tough regime?

Elsewhere, having phoned Milton, Roy confronts Sylvia - wanting to know exactly what's been going on. Will Sylvia confess all?

Also today, when the boiler packs up at Number 8, Gail smugly points out to David and Kylie that as the home owners it's their problem, not hers.

Finally, Mandy makes snide digs at Sophie and Jenna as they try to enjoy a drink in the pub.

    Friday

Fiz is desperate to talk to Tyrone, but he sends a visiting order for Tina instead.

Later at the prison, Tyrone asks Tina to pass on a message to Fiz - there's now no chance of a happy future for them, so she should just forget about him. Tina is left reeling by his words.

Meanwhile, Faye's social worker calls to see Anna and tells her that she knows about their recent rows and wonders if the adoption is breaking down. Deeply upset, Anna makes a bold move and phones Tim, inviting him round for his tea. But how will Owen react when he sees Tim with his feet under the table?

Elsewhere, having lost all her money in the casino, Sylvia suggests to Roy that with his mathematical brain, he could study blackjack and devise a formula to beat the casino at its own game. Will Roy agree to her crazy idea?

Also, Kylie and Max are freezing at Number 8 while Gail smugly heads to Sally's for a hot shower.

Finally, worried about her lack of job, Jenna wonders how she's going to pay her rent.

Tina is concerned at the depth of Tyrone's depression and relays his message to Fiz.

Will Fiz decide it's time to move on, or stick by the man she loves?

Meanwhile, Owen is shocked as Anna demands that he leaves, not Tim. But Anna soon regrets her decision when Tim stuns her with a shock announcement. Can an agreement be reached about Faye's future? And can Anna and Owen repair their fractured relationship?

Elsewhere, in the casino, Sylvia, Ken and Dennis watch in awe as Roy card counts and takes the blackjack dealer to the cleaners. But will he get out of the casino with his winnings before he's rumbled?

Also, Jenna accepts Lloyd's offer of the spare room, but Mandy is not happy that she'll be living so close to Sophie.

Finally, David moans about the boiler repair bill and asks Gail for help. Will she agree?

Coronation Street couple Chesney Brown and Katy Armstrong clash bitterly this evening (February 11) in the aftermath of Fiz and Tyrone's disappearing act with baby Ruby.

Tonight's double bill sees Chesney (Sam Aston) face a difficult decision when Fiz makes contact with him from Wales, begging him to bring her as much cash as possible so that she can flee overseas with Tyrone.

Chesney is reluctant to get involved but realises that he can't turn his back on Fiz, so he starts gathering some money together and prepares to make the trip to Wales.

Katy, however, is horrified by Chesney's plan and threatens to report him to the police if he leaves. As Chesney heads out regardless, will Katy betray him?

Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV

...Coronation Street's Roy Cropper shocks everyone as he heads off to the casino with a wad of cash in tonight's (February 15) double bill of the soap.

Roy (David Neilson) is still passionately against gambling, but he feels compelled to help out his mother Sylvia (Stephanie Cole) after she lost so much money at the casino.

Determined to win back every penny, Roy goes to the blackjack table and puts his mathematical brain to good use, card counting to boost his chances.

Roy's efforts pay off as he secures a string of surprise victories, but will the casino question his extraordinary run of good luck?

Coronation Street star Debbie Rush has revealed that Weatherfield newcomer Tim Metcalfe ends up with the upper hand in his war with the Windass family.

Tim joined the show last month as he made contact with his daughter Faye. However, Rush's character Anna has repeatedly opposed his desire to have regular access to her adoptive child.

In tomorrow night's Coronation Street double bill, the tables turn on Anna as Tim starts to question whether the Windasses are providing a stable environment for 10-year-old Faye.

Tim appears ready to make trouble for Anna after hearing that her partner Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) lost his temper with Faye and destroyed her laptop in a rage.

Rush told Digital Spy: "Tim threatens Anna. Because of Owen losing control, Tim's now got the upper hand. Before that, Anna had no obligation to let Tim see Faye whatsoever.

"But now that this has happened with the computer, it's a total different kettle of fish. Now Tim has got one up on Anna, because he can start making threats. Social services get involved again, because Tim says that Faye might not be in a safe environment.

"Tim says, 'What if Faye gets slapped next time?' Obviously the audience knows that Faye was slapped by Owen 12 months ago. We don't make any reference to it so far, but we've played it so that the audience will see Anna is terrified this is going to come out."

The actress added that the show's writers are still keeping her guessing over whether Tim can be trusted.

Rush said: "You can all make up your own minds! I'm sure he's very nice, but as far as Anna's concerned, he's a bad lot. At the end of the day, Tim left Faye's mum when Faye was only 2. Faye's mum was a heroin addict, so Anna thinks Tim's a really bad dad.

"But he actually might not be a bad guy - you just don't know what's round the corner on Corrie, do you?"

She added: "The story has been great to film so far and I'm really enjoying it. It's nice to do something a little bit different. I love working in the café, but when we get some good storylines involving a bit of trauma and turmoil for the family, it's great. We're having a great time."

Coronation Street continues tomorrow (February 15) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
