hang on hang on, as nice an idea as it is, how the hell is it going to happen? for a start i assume he'll be manager and not landlord (since i doubt he'd be able to buy it off Fred). and why choose him? ok Bev may go with Shelly, but why would Fred choose Sean? he's never run a pub, he's only worked behind a bar for a few months. and Fred has loads of pub trade contacts. all seems a bit weird to me...
