Coronation Street's Tyrone Dobbs is disgusted this evening (January 25) as he realises the extent of Kirsty Soames's vengeful scheme against him.

Tonight's double bill sees Tyrone (Alan Halsall) left alone in a police cell for hours as the police make their enquiries, taking a statement from Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) and quizzing a number of the street's residents about the pair's turbulent relationship.

Later, when Tyrone is finally interviewed, he is stunned to hear that Kirsty has accused him of a long-running campaign of physical and emotional abuse.

To make matters worse, Eileen and Deirdre have both backed up Kirsty's story, convinced that she is the victim in the situation. Does Tyrone have any hope at all of clearing his name?

Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV

All Eileen and Deirdre can give is hearsay evidence. Fiz, Tina and Tommy have seen actual physical evidence. I think their testimony would carry far more weight...oh, I forgot, this is Soapland.....
