Tyrone is keen to avoid a fuss on his 30th birthday and is pleased when Kirsty arranges a night out with the girls from work while he stays in with Ruby. However, Kirsty is really planning a surprise party for Tyrone in the pub. Fiz is outraged that Kirsty is seemingly leaving Tyrone on his own on his birthday, so she promises to call round while Kirsty is out. But as Fiz arrives at Number 9 with a card and cake for Tyrone, The Rovers is a hive of activity in readiness for the surprise party.

At the house, Tyrone and Fiz relax in each other's company and begin kissing passionately. However, when Kirsty lets herself into the house along with babysitter Emily, Fiz and Tyrone are panic-stricken. Are they about to be caught in the act?

Meanwhile, Peter tells Leanne that he is returning to work at the bookies. He suggests they should continue to share the business but work separate shifts. Nick is not happy but grudgingly gives his blessing.

Later, when Nick is too busy to go ice-skating with Simon and Leanne, Simon insists they should invite Peter instead. As he watches them leave, Nick fights his emotions.

Elsewhere, Karl mocks Jason and Stella for their fling, but they refuse to let him goad them. However, when Stella then summons Karl to the pub, he presumes she's had a change of heart.

Also, Rob suggests to Michelle that they should borrow money from the bank and buy Underworld together, Beth is dismayed when Peter gives her a month's notice on the bookies flat, while Chesney panics Kirk with the news that his turkeys are stolen goods.

Tyrone covers while Fiz hides. Kirsty explains that Emily has come to babysit so she can take Tyrone for a birthday drink. Tyrone has little choice but to agree, and when he arrives at the pub to find that Kirsty has arranged a surprise party, he paints on a smile.

At Number 9, Emily has fallen asleep and Fiz takes the opportunity to escape, but she unwittingly drops her birthday card to Tyrone as she goes. Arriving at the pub, Fiz feigns surprise that it's Tyrone's birthday. Catching a moment alone, Tyrone insists that for Ruby's sake they must stay away from each other. But as Tyrone and Kirsty return home, Kirsty spots the extra birthday card. Will Kirsty see red when she discovers it's from Fiz?

Meanwhile, Peter, Leanne and Simon go ice-skating. It's almost like old times and it's clear that Peter and Leanne are enjoying themselves, something which Simon captures on camera. Will Leanne let her heart rule her head?

Elsewhere, Karl lies to Sunita and slips out to meet Stella. He suggests to Stella that it's time they got back together. Will Stella agree? As she makes her feelings clear to Karl, Stella decides to let Sunita know where she stands too!

Also, Rob phones round his contacts hoping to persuade them to invest in Underworld, while Kirk and Chesney attempt to dispose of the stolen frozen turkeys in the canal.

    Wednesday

Tyrone is anxious to discover that Kirsty has spent the night on the sofa and has destroyed his birthday cards in a fit of rage. With her fury mounting, Kirsty confronts him with the offending card from Fiz, but Tyrone does his best to convince Kirsty that it means nothing to him.

Slightly appeased, Kirsty agrees to meet the vicar later with Tyrone. Worried about covering his tracks, Tyrone secretly goes to Roy's Rolls, where he asks Fiz to back him up about the card. However, Fiz is at the end of her tether and won't do it, so Tyrone leaves annoyed. Oblivious to both of them, one of Ruby's toys falls to the floor, leaving a clue of his whereabouts.

Later, Kirsty and Tyrone meet the vicar. Tyrone gets emotional knowing deep down he's living a lie. In the park, Kirsty's romantic mood disappears when Tyrone mentions something from his past. A row erupts and Kirsty threatens to call off the wedding.

Back on the street, Eileen witnesses the continuing tension, before an angry, Kirsty pays Fiz a visit in the cafe. At the last minute, Fiz covers for Tyrone but when Kirsty spots the giveaway mobile toy from Ruby's pram, it's not enough to save Tyrone from a beating.

When Kirsty loses her rag back home, her violence reaches new heights...

    Thursday

Kirsty is contrite as she realises the extent of Tyrone's injuries, and she wonders if he really wants to marry someone like her. Tyrone assures Kirsty that he loves her and persuades her that they should still get married. Will Kirsty agree?

Later, Fiz convinces Tyrone to let her take him to hospital. As Tyrone lies to the doctor, telling him that he got his injuries at work, he admits to Fiz that he doesn't know how he's going to make it through to the wedding. Fiz urges him to evidence the violence and promises that he's no longer in it alone.

Meanwhile, an unhappy Nick sees the ice-skating photos from Simon, featuring a cosy Leanne and Peter. Later, when Nick mentions that he's going to Simon's nativity, Eva hatches a cunning plan. A busy lunch booking suddenly appears and Nick realises that he'll have to miss the play.

As Peter, Leanne and Simon set off for the nativity, Nick watches the happy family scene jealously. But when the table fails to show up at the Bistro, Nick realises it was a hoax. Suspecting Peter is behind it, he races off to the play to deliver an unexpected finale.

Elsewhere, Sophie exercises too vigorously and falls, hurting her back. She tries to reach Jenna in a panic. A worried Lloyd and Jenna take Sophie to the hospital to check that she's okay.

Also, Kirk buys a load of Freshco turkeys so he doesn't have to let his customers down. Craig points out that he's now even further out of pocket and will never be able to buy Beth the Christmas present she wanted. However, Kirk is gobsmacked as a delighted Beth greets him, proudly wearing the necklace she thinks he's bought her. But how did it happen if it wasn't from Kirk?

Finally, when Rob cooks the books to obtain a ridiculously low valuation of the factory, hoping he can then afford to buy it at a knock-down price, Michelle realises that he intends to rip Carla off. Michelle threatens to phone Carla, but when Rob points out that he could end up back in prison, Michelle is torn.

    Friday

Having made love, Tyrone assures Fiz that he has no regrets and she has made him feel happy for the first time in ages. As Tyrone goes to leave, he kisses Fiz passionately in the ginnel. However, Tina clocks their embrace, sending Tyrone and Fiz into a panic.

Tyrone goes after Tina, explaining that he's in love with Fiz but has to marry Kirsty for the sake of securing his relationship with Ruby. Tina then summons Fiz to her flat, where she is surprised to find Tyrone. Is Tina about to blow the lid on their affair?

Meanwhile, Peter and Leanne watch proudly as Simon gives a sterling performance in the nativity play. Nick arrives at the back of the hall and jealously surveys the scene. Pushing his way through the audience, Nick furiously accuses Peter of making the hoax booking at the Bistro to prevent him from watching Simon. Peter denies all knowledge and Leanne tells Nick to stop causing a scene. But Nick sees red and fists fly!

At the same time, having heard about the fracas, Kylie asks Eva if she was behind the hoax booking.

Elsewhere, Kevin thanks Jenna for helping Sophie, but is there a glint of more than just appreciation from him?

Also today, Rob announces to the factory girls that he's hoping to buy Underworld, while Kirk asks Maria if Beth and Craig can move in for Christmas.

A shocked Tina (Michelle Keegan) quickly walks away and leaves them to it, but Tyrone is fearful that she could vengefully expose his affair after all the rows they've had recently.

Tyrone later approaches Tina to explain himself and he also takes the opportunity to apologise over their fall-out. Can the pair get their friendship back on track?
