Coming up on Coronation Street, Tina McIntyre's surrogacy storyline continues as she heads for her first baby scan.

As Tina (Michelle Keegan) prepares to visit the clinic, she can see that her boyfriend Tommy Duckworth is still uncomfortable with what she is doing for Gary and Izzy. Making life easier for him, Tina announces that he doesn't have to come with her.

Tommy (Chris Fountain) is grateful to Tina, but he changes his mind when Rita advises him to be there for his girlfriend on such an important day.

Later at the clinic, a torn Tommy arrives to hold Tina's hand just as Gary and Izzy are cooing over the image on the machine.

Tina is pleased to see Tommy, but it's a strain for him as everyone fusses over the scan photo. Will he ever be able to come to terms with Tina carrying someone else's baby?

SUNDAY

Hour-long episode


Tina reminds Tommy that she has got a scan at the clinic, but he's grateful when she tells him that he doesn't have to come with her. However, Rita advises Tommy to join Tina at the clinic, as she will need someone there for her during the scan. Tommy is torn but as Gary and Izzy coo over the image on the machine, Tommy arrives to hold Tina's hand. Tina is pleased, but it's a strain for Tommy as everyone fusses over the scan photo.

Back on the street, there's panic when Tina faints. As Gary calls for Doctor Matt, Tommy tries to deflect the fuss, keen to get her to the medical centre as he's aware of people gawping. At the surgery, Matt checks Tina over and advises rest, before congratulating her and Tommy on the pregnancy. Tommy is uncomfortable with his assumption, but will Tina admit that she is acting as a surrogate for Izzy and Gary?

Later, the Windasses fuss over Tina, while Tommy pops into The Rovers to inform Stella that Tina is indisposed. But when Norris reveals that Tina is pregnant, Tommy is mortified as he is showered with good wishes. Wanting the ground to swallow him up, will Tommy reveal it's not his baby? And how will he react when David mentions that Tina had an abortion when she was with him?

Meanwhile, David suggests to Kylie that they should spend the night at a hotel to get some privacy. However, when Nick takes the night off and Gail double-books two Christmas parties, it's left to Kylie to take charge at the Bistro. How will David react when she tells him their hotel liaison is off as she's too busy?


Later, as the Christmas party bookings descend, Nick is astonished to see how well Kylie has coped and promotes her to assistant manager. Kylie is ecstatic, but when David shows no interest, the couple row. David storms off as Kylie makes a shock confession to Eva…

Elsewhere, as Tyrone books the church, Kirsty is upbeat and looking forward to the wedding. At the same time, Fiz asks Michelle for her job back at the factory. As Michelle consults Kirsty, will she take the opportunity to further stick the knife into Fiz?

Later, Chesney berates Tyrone for publicly humiliating Fiz and getting her sacked. Keen to keep him away from Kirsty, Tyrone utters a strange apology, which leaves Chesney intrigued.

Also today, Dennis attends an open interview at the Council in the hope of finding employment. He is successful but when he announces that he's got a new job, he is cagey about what it entails.

Finally, Stella is startled when Mandy points out that Jason is smitten with her.


Wednesday

Tommy is still hankering for Tina to have an abortion. Tina points out that they would owe Owen thousands if they were to back out now, but Tommy thinks her welfare is more important. Soon afterwards, Tina explains her dilemma to Rita. Rita advises that she must reach a decision she can live with, and she owes it to Gary and Izzy to make it soon.

Later, Izzy notices that Tina is distracted. Tina confesses that Tommy wants her to back out of the deal or face losing him and she is uncertain of what to do. Izzy urges her not to feel beholden and to do what she really wants, assuring her that everyone will accept her decision. With her future with Tommy at stake, what will Tina decide?

Meanwhile, Eva is uneasy when David talks to an excited Max about having a baby brother or sister. Eva tells Kylie, who is furious that David has got Max's hopes up about a sibling. Taking him to task, she announces that she's going out with Eva.

Elsewhere, Rita sees Dennis off to work in a suit and tie, but it's clear that he's hiding something. Dennis starts training to be the new lollipop man outside Bessie Street School. Outgoing patrol officer Malcolm offers instruction while Dennis tries to avoid being recognised, but when Steve drives past, will he see Dennis at work?

Also today, Leanne and Ken receive grovelling letters from Peter, which lead them to believe he has no plans to return. Leanne wonders how to tell Simon.

Friday

David is not happy with Kylie for going out on the lash last night. Feeling guilty, Kylie secretly swigs down another contraceptive pill. However, when Gail accidentally stumbles across Kylie's pills after knocking over her handbag, Kylie is forced to come clean.

As Kylie explains that she doesn't want a baby at the moment and wants to focus on her job, Gail is sympathetic but advises her to tell David the truth straight away. Will Kylie be able to bring herself to break David's heart?

Meanwhile, with Tina having made her decision about whether to continue with the pregnancy, she now has to face both Tommy and Izzy's reaction. As emotions boil over, Tommy and Gary cause a stir by rowing in the street. Kevin and Izzy are forced to intervene to stop them coming to blows, but as the gossips speculate about his relationship, will Tommy snap and reveal all?

Elsewhere, Leanne informs Simon that Peter won't be coming back for Christmas. Simon takes the news badly, upset that Peter will miss his nativity. In a bid to cheer him up, Nick proposes a holiday to Disneyworld. However, Leanne's amusement turns to shock when Nick suggests they also visit Las Vegas and remarry!

Also, Steve is amused that Dennis is keeping his job a secret, but agrees not to tell anyone. However, when Dennis stops Steve's car at his crossing, he can't resist a dig. In revenge, Dennis keeps Steve waiting. With his anger rising, will Steve retaliate?

Finally, Gail is thrilled when Lewis invites her out for dinner to say thank you.

Gary is furious with Tommy and has to be calmed by an anxious Izzy. As Tina denies cheating on Tommy, everyone is confused. With gossip rife, will Tina reveal the truth about her pregnancy?

At the same time, David is reeling from Kylie's confession. She tries to explain that she wants to make something of herself before having more kids, but David takes it as a personal insult that she doesn't want his child and warns her that he may not wait forever.

After storming out, David calls at Tina's flat to apologise for telling Tommy about her abortion. Over a few cans, he pours his heart out about his rift with Kylie and they commiserate with each other. Tina explains to David about the financial incentive behind the surrogacy, but insists that she's going through with it because she genuinely wants to help Izzy and Gary. As Kylie waits up for David, will he return home to his wife or make her sweat?

Meanwhile, after talking it over with Stella, Leanne tells Nick that she has made a decision about his proposal to marry in Vegas. Is the wedding on?

Elsewhere, Malcolm turns up at The Rovers with a police officer in tow. Malcolm asks Dennis to identify Steve McDonald. Aware of his friends watching, Dennis tries to fob them off but Norris points out Steve to the officer. As Steve is confronted, will he out Dennis as a lollipop man?
