    Deputy Editor Erinsborough News cast

Neighbours bosses have announced that McLeod's Daughters star Aaron Jeffery is joining the soap for a guest stint.

The actor will be filming with the show for two months in the role of a tough new deputy editor who joins the Erinsborough News team in an upcoming storyline.

Jeffery finished filming Underbelly: Badness last week and has now relocated from Sydney to Melbourne to take on his Neighbours part.

He told Channel 5: "The character is a mix of Peter Pan and Ernest Hemingway. Very different from the role I've just finished, which is great. I love the variety."

Jeffery added that the job is already reminding him of McLeod's Daughters due to the cold weather.

He joked: "First day on location I think it barely nudged six degrees, but at least I wasn't out in the open riding a horse all day. My character is more office-bound, thank God."

Neighbours fans in Australia will see Jeffery's first scenes in September. His debut episode will air on Channel 5 in the UK the following month.

Coming up in Neighbours, newcomer Bradley Fox makes his debut on UK screens after applying for the job of deputy editor at the Erinsborough News.

When Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) spots Bradley's impressive application and CV, she initially rules him out of the running - telling Summer Hoyland that he's either a liar or far too overqualified for the position.

Susan changes her mind, however, when Summer accuses her of being intimidated by Bradley's experience. Determined to prove her wrong, Susan invites Bradley in for an interview and slowly finds herself being won round by him.

In the end, Susan agrees to give Bradley a chance and hires him - but will he prove too good to be true?

Bradley is played by former McLeod's Daughters actor Aaron Jeffery and viewers can expect a big storyline for him as he embarks on a steamy relationship with Summer.

Neighbours favourite Susan Kennedy is to make a surprising discovery after she digs into the past of her new Erinsborough News recruit Bradley Fox.

Viewers in the UK see Bradley's first scenes next week as Susan hires him as the newspaper's new deputy editor, impressed by his extensive CV.

However, an episode soon to air in Australia sees Susan do some detective work as she no longer trusts Bradley (Aaron Jeffery). In doing so, she finds out that he lied in his references and was actually fired from his last job.

Susan's discovery comes shortly after she has realised that Bradley is in a blossoming relationship with young colleague Summer Hoyland (Jordy Lucas).

Jackie Woodburne, who plays Susan, told TV Week: "Initially, Susan was quite taken with Bradley. She connected with him on an intellectual level and professionally. She thought he was terrific. But she was instantly wary when Summer took up with him, because of the huge age difference between them.

"Bradley is a very experienced man of the world, whereas Summer's a young girl with not that much life experience behind her."

While the reason for Bradley's previous sacking is currently being kept under wraps, Woodburne confirmed that Susan is worried about Summer.

She said: "Now [she] has the additional worry of, 'How do I get Summer to understand that she may be in a dangerous situation?' Things do pick up pace quite quickly."

Neighbours airs these scenes next week on Eleven in Australia, and in November on Channel 5 in the UK.
