Over on EastEnders, a tough day for Abi Branning leads to her sharing a kiss with ex-boyfriend Jay Mitchell.

Next month, viewers will see Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) targeted by a boisterous girl gang who start to cause trouble in Walford.

The gang's ringleader Alexa shares a history with Lola Pearce as they used to live at the same care home. However, it's Abi who Alexa seems to be most fixated on, picking on her and taunting her on more than one occasion.

Events come to a head when Lola is horrified to see Alexa and the gang bullying Abi and pushing her around, while filming the incident on their mobile phones.

Unwilling to stand by and do nothing, Lola pulls Alexa back and urges Abi to leave the scene while she deals with this.

While Lola is busy standing up to Alexa by hitting her, a shaken Abi runs to find Jay without hesitation.

As Abi realises that she still has strong feelings for Jay, he promises to always protect her. The pair then fall back into each other's arms…

Love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe

    Monday

Phil is pleased with his refurbishment of The Vic, but with business still slow, he goes to great effort to make sure everyone knows the pub will be the place to be that night. As the evening arrives, his efforts pay off as the place begins to fill up. Gathering everyone's attention, Phil unveils a replica of the old Queen Vic bust which is now back in its rightful place, though he can't help but feel that the response of punters could be more enthusiastic.

Soon afterwards, Kat and Alfie return home to The Vic and receive an extremely warm reception from the customers. The only thing spoiling the atmosphere is Kat's anxious mood, as her mystery Branning lover is present at the pub. Kat and Alfie attempt to apologise to Phil for leaving him in the lurch, but he immediately drops a huge bombshell on the couple - he's now in charge of the The Vic and they no longer work there…

Meanwhile, the Brannings decide to venture out on a couples' night out to the Queen Vic. Jack lines up a date for Derek for the occasion - a beautiful woman named Lisa. Derek is delighted when he comes face-to-face with Lisa, but his good mood doesn't last for long when she stands up and is six foot tall! Tanya can't help but giggle at the unlikely match, while Joey also enjoys Derek's embarrassment as he watches from afar. Annoyed that his family are laughing at him, Derek angrily squares up to Jack.

Elsewhere, Lola's social worker Trish continues to put pressure on her, questioning her over a bad cough that Lexi has. When Billy returns home, he can sense that Lola is having a tough time, so he offers to babysit Lexi while she spends some quality time with her friends. Outside, Lola and her mates are interrupted by a boisterous girl gang and they all decide to leave as they feel uncomfortable. Among the gang, Lola spots someone she would rather forget…

Also today, a concerned Roxy continues to check on Michael, Lauren agrees when Michael asks her to babysit Scarlett for a fee, while Ray has a successful meeting with a potential sponsor for his kid's initiative scheme at the gym.

    Tuesday

Kat is feeling guiltier than ever, knowing that she and Alfie wouldn't be losing The Vic if they hadn't needed to go away to save their marriage. It's also clear that Alfie is still struggling to trust Kat when he spots her receiving a text message on her phone, even though it's entirely innocent. When Kat hears about Janine's departure, she decides to offer some support to Michael - but as a suspicious Alfie watches them from across the Square, he wonders whether his cousin was the mystery lover.*

Later, when Kat tells Alfie that she confided in Michael on the night they left for their holiday, he asks her outright whether Michael was her mystery man. Kat confirms that he wasn't, but Alfie is still in an emotional state - telling his wife that he doesn't think he can carry on like this…

Meanwhile, Cora is keen for the Brannings to be a happier family, so she asks Tanya why she hates Derek so much - hoping the pair can put their differences behind them. Tanya insists that she won't be making peace with Derek, revealing that he threatened her a while ago. A furious Max overhears this conversation and soon confronts Derek, warning him never to threaten Tanya again. However, Derek maintains the upper hand by warning Max not to tell him what to do - otherwise Tanya might just find out about his 'problem'.

Elsewhere, a tough day for Lola begins when Michael realises she has been stealing his business and angrily confronts her. However, Michael backs down and is clearly worried about his own reaction when Billy points out that Lola is just a kid. Later, Lola again sees Alexa - an old friend from the care home - among a girl gang who are causing trouble in Walford. Alexa tries to convince Lola to help the gang to shoplift, and the young mum fears the repercussions if she says no, so she agrees to be their lookout. As the day continues, Alexa starts picking on Abi while Lola is with the gang. A brave Abi stands up for herself, and Lola shows where her loyalty lies by leaving with her.
Also today, Roxy continues to spend time with Michael but pushes him away when he leans in to kiss her, while Phil offers to look after Dennis for Sharon and clearly enjoys spending time with the youngster.

    Thursday

Alfie appears to be admitting defeat when he starts searching for pubs which need landlords, but Kat is determined that they should fight for The Vic. Kat soon approaches Phil and begs him to reconsider his decision, but he refuses as the Moons already owe him so much rent. Still keen to fix this situation, Kat pawns her engagement ring for cash. She even tells Phil that she has been having an affair and needs the pub to stop her family from falling apart.

In the end, Phil finally relents and agrees to let Alfie and Kat stay at The Vic, but he insists that Roxy will be remaining as bar manager. A suspicious Alfie wants to know how Kat got the cash together, so she admits that she sold her mum's ring to pay their debts as she'll do whatever it takes to save their family.

Meanwhile, Michael apologises to Roxy for trying to make a move on her last night. However, Roxy refuses to accept his apology. Feeling that he is just using her to look after his daughter, Roxy urges Michael to take responsibility for Scarlett or hire a nanny. Following a failed attempt to find an au pair, Michael asks Kat to help with the baby - but she refuses and insists that Michael is the one Scarlett really needs. Alone with Scarlett, however, Michael continues to struggle.

Elsewhere, Alexa picks on Abi again when she spots her looking after Lexi, branding her "just another pram face". However, Lola soon marches over and reveals that the baby is hers. Alexa is surprised when Lola explains that Lexi is named after her - she used to look up to her, but not anymore. Later, things get worse for Lola when she is late for a meeting with Trish and accidentally lets slip that Billy no longer has a job. Trish vows to have a meeting with her colleagues as she believes that Lola isn't coping with motherhood.

Also today, Abi convinces Max to give Jay a job at the car lot, but Phil soon forces Max to let Jay go, while Sharon decides that Phil shouldn't spend any more time with Dennis as he doesn't appear to be a good influence on him.

    Friday

Lola is delighted as her tag has finally been removed, but Trish is still causing her stress as she vows to start visiting daily. When Lola heads to The Vic to collect the money for some cleaning she did, Alfie insists on paying her extra. However, an argument breaks out when Phil interferes by ordering Alfie not to. Lola loses her temper by branding Phil a bully for the way he treated Jay. Phil fires back by declaring that he doesn't need to take advice from someone who doesn't even know who the father of her child is.

Later, Lola is horrified when she spots Alexa and the girl gang taunting Abi, pushing her around and filming the incident on their phones. Unwilling to stand by and do nothing, Lola pulls Alexa back and urges Abi to take Lexi home while she deals with this. As Alexa threatens to hurt both Lola and Lexi, Lola is pushed to the limit and hits the cruel bully - warning her to stay away.

Soon afterwards, Billy is livid when he hears what has happened - and his worst fears are realised when the police turn up at the house to arrest Lola for the assault on Alexa…

Meanwhile, Michael stares at Scarlett as he zips a suitcase shut. Is he going to abandon his own daughter?

Elsewhere, Kat and Alfie are pleased to be back working at The Vic. However, shortly after the Branning brothers arrive for a drink, Kat spots an envelope addressed to her on the bar. Enclosed is a key and a note asking Kat to meet at the flat. Will Kat go?

Some storyline details have been held back for this episode.
