Neighbours bosses have today (August 1) announced that Toadie Rebecchi's cousin Georgia Brookes is heading to Ramsay Street as a new regular character.
Saskia Hampele has been cast in the role and will make her arrival on screens towards the end of the year.
Hampele was in the wilderness of Kakadu in Australia's Northern Territory when her agent contacted her over the role, as she had travelled with her TV presenter boyfriend Kayne Tremills while he was filming there.
Under pressure to record an impromptu audition for the show's producers, the actress was forced to create the all-important video during her trip.
Hampele commented: "It was really funny, the backdrop of the audition is outback Australia - a far cry from Ramsay Street."

The newcomer's previous screen credits include supporting roles in films and drama shows, including City Homicide.
She is also a qualified social worker and has been a counsellor at the Reach Foundation and the Melbourne Royal Children's Hospital cancer ward in between acting roles.
Neighbours' Australian fans will see Georgia arrive in Erinsborough in October, with her UK debut airing the following month.
