Monday
Shirley's constant reminiscing about Heather is alarming Ben. The twisted teenager voices his concerns to Phil about Heather's constant 'presence' in the house, but it looks like the worst is yet to come when Shirley announces that the hunt for Heather's killer isn't over.
Meanwhile, as Ian takes the delivery of a new neon sign for the café, Lucy hopes that it will be named after her. However, when the launch arrives, everyone is shocked when the new name of the café is revealed as 'Mandy's'. Dot comforts an upset Lucy, while Mandy tries to hide the fact that she's embarrassed by the whole thing.
Elsewhere, as Roxy knows that Alfie is in debt with Derek, she advises him to borrow money from Jean to give to him as a sweetener. Roxy then lies to Jean by telling her that Alfie needs money for Spencer, and Jean is quick to offer up the required amount. Later, Alfie offers Derek the money, but is left disturbed when the villain says that he doesn't want it - he'd rather leave Alfie hanging.
Also today, Janine gets tearful due to her pregnancy hormones, while Bianca goes hungry as she's still struggling with her finances.

Thursday
Roxy is concerned when Derek asks Alfie to carry out a job for him. Alfie vows to go ahead with it, as the slate will be wiped clean once it's over - so Roxy watches on anxiously as he gets into Derek's car followed by two burly men. When Roxy sees Derek later on, she asks about Alfie and is horrified as Derek implies that he's in trouble. Roxy tries to ring Alfie's phone, but worries further when Derek answers and says that it's the wrong number before hanging up. The situation gets stranger when two men drive Alfie's car away.
Later, Roxy spots Alfie back on the Square, and the pub boss is confused when he sees that she has been worrying about him. A smug Derek then reveals that Alfie was only doing a bit of laundry for him, which leaves Roxy livid. That evening, Alfie is stunned when Roxy explains that Derek has been playing a game with her all day, as he knows she has fallen for him. Does Alfie feel the same way?
Meanwhile, Ben pretends to head off to school, but actually hangs around on the Square to intercept the arrival of the psychiatric report. However, Phil later demands to see the report and is shocked by its contents. The report claims that Ben is painfully desperate for his father's love and will do anything to earn it. Phil is left to wonder whether this means Heather's death was in some way his own fault.
Elsewhere, Bianca asks Masood to be Tiffany's maths tutor when he helps her to work out a '2 for 1' offer at the Minute Mart, Shirley makes posters about Heather's death containing her contact details in case anyone knows anything about the murder but doesn't want to go to the police, while Tanya pulls away from a passionate moment with Max - leaving him frustrated yet again.
Friday
Shirley is frustrated with the police's lack of progress in catching Heather's killer, so she continues with her own investigations. When Shirley questions Jean about the night that Heather died, she's shocked to learn that Jean saw Andrew that night, but Phil told her not to go to the police. Shirley soon quizzes Phil about his interference, but he manages to throw her off the scent by insisting that he just thought Jean was imagining it.
Later, Ben hatches a new plan as he watches Phil sleep. He suddenly wakes his father up in a fake panic, pretending that Phil has just been talking about Heather in his sleep. Ben warns Phil that he could inadvertently reveal the truth if this happened again, especially if Shirley was there. Fearing that Ben could be right, Phil goes downstairs and deliberately provokes an argument with Shirley, which results in her being kicked out of the house.
Meanwhile, Janine continues to tease Michael by claiming that he'll have to wear a pink tie to the wedding. Michael realises that he needs to contribute financially to the wedding if he's going to have any say in what goes on, so he starts to manipulate Jean - convincing her to invest in the boxing gym. Later, Michael arrives home with the money and reasserts his authority by telling Janine that he'll be wearing blue.
Elsewhere Whitney, Carol and Bianca go on a girls' night out, which ends up in disaster when their method of sneaking booze into the club goes awry.
