EastEnders' Andrew Cotton finds himself banned from Heather Trott's funeral later this month as he remains under suspicion over his late fiancée's murder.

Shirley (Linda Henry) issues the ban in an upcoming episode as she's still convinced that Andrew killed Heather. When she spots Andrew having a heart-to-heart with Dot over his loss, she warns them both that they're not welcome at the upcoming service.

As the day of Heather's funeral dawns, Andrew (Ricky Grover) and Dot (June Brown) ignore Shirley's demands and get ready for the emotional send-off as planned.

However, when the funeral cars arrive, Shirley becomes enraged to see Andrew, Dot and Cora about to make their way to the service.

Declaring once again that they should stay away, Shirley warns Andrew that she will kill him if she sees him near the church, as Phil and Billy try to hold her back. Will Andrew take notice of Shirley's threats?

    Monday

Phil is relieved as he announces that Darren will soon collect George, knowing that this will ease some of the pressure on Ben and Jay. However, Shirley thinks she can convince Darren to let George live with them permanently. Soon afterwards, Shirley is disgusted when she sees a guilty Dot make a public apology to Andrew at The Vic, admitting that she was wrong to condemn him. Unimpressed, Shirley walks out and when Andrew hands her a soundtrack for Heather's funeral, she drops it onto the floor and crushes it with her foot. Back at the house, Shirley's erratic behaviour continues as she asks Phil to marry her. A shocked Phil rejects this idea, pointing out that it would be for the wrong reasons.

Later, Shirley learns that Janine has instructed Billy to clear out Heather's flat. She rushes over there with Phil in tow and becomes emotional as fond memories of her best friend come flooding back. However, Phil is struggling for very different reasons and he makes an excuse to leave. Shirley warns Billy that Heather's flat is not to be touched for now, but she's interrupted when Phil phones her to say that the social worker has arrived to collect George. Returning home, Shirley is shocked to hear that Phil made the call to the social worker, wanting George out of the house. Shirley is then forced to say her goodbyes to George.

Meanwhile, Michael makes a quick exit from wedding discussions with Janine when she mentions the pre-nuptial agreement. Later, Michael is concerned to realise that he's lost his key fob. Janine doesn't realise the sentimental value it has for Michael and refuses to help him look for it. However, Jean can see that it means a lot to Michael and is successful when she steps in to help locate it.

Elsewhere, Billy comes up with a cover story when Janine spots some of the identical nursery gear that he bought with her credit card, Phil tells Shirley that Ian is making an offer for the café, Jay bitterly notes that Ben seems to be coping with things remarkably well, while Alfie is back from visiting Kat and hands Billy another share of the takings from the booze scam.

    Tuesday

It's the day of Ben's interview with a psychiatrist, as arranged by the CPS following his recent attempt to frame Phil for Stella's death. The high-pressure day intensifies when Shirley announces that she wants both Ben and Jay to do a reading at Heather's funeral. Soon afterwards, Ben asks Phil for guidance on what he should say in his interview today. The teenager gets angry when Phil suggests that he should blame everything on Kathy's death, and he soon shocks his father by wondering if it'd be best to just confess to Heather's murder.

Later, as they arrive at the psychiatrist's office, Phil advises Ben to blame him for everything that led up to the stalking and framing incidents - admitting that he loves him and doesn't want to lose him. As the interview gets under way, Ben comes close to confessing his guilt over Heather, telling the psychiatrist that he was born evil. Phil isn't happy when he learns that Ben has painted himself as a psychopath in the interview. However, when they return home, there's a bigger problem to deal with as Shirley reveals that the picture frame she gave to Heather on her hen night is missing. Shirley says that she's already phoned the police as it must have been the murder weapon…

Meanwhile, Roxy looks at the books at The Vic and suggests that Alfie should sack Jean to save money. However, Jean overhears this and becomes upset. Michael comforts Jean at the café until Alfie arrives, trying to persuade her to return to the kitchen. Alfie promises that Jean can even make her infamous 'sausage surprise' if she comes back, but she's unsure until Michael promises to help her out in the kitchen. Later, Michael tells Janine that spending time with Jean has opened his eyes - he's marrying her because he loves her, and is now happy to sign the pre-nup. What is Michael up to?

Elsewhere, Roxy must beg Ray to return to work at The Vic when he walks out after she shouts at him, Derek tries to help Bianca save money on her energy bills by showing her how to use a dodgy electric key, while Lola goes for a scan at the hospital and discovers that her baby is a girl.

    Thursday

As the day of Heather's funeral arrives, Ben removes the photo frame that he used to hit Heather from its hiding place, placing it into his rucksack. However, when he sees Shirley, Ben is forced to dump the bag in the Square gardens. Soon afterwards, Shirley is furious when she spots that Andrew, Dot and Cora are about to make their way to the service. Shirley warns that they're not welcome and threatens to kill Andrew if he comes anywhere near the church.

Later, as the service gets under way, DS Crisp turns up to watch the proceedings unfold - leaving Phil, Ben and Jay agitated. Shirley then gives a tribute to her best friend, before Ben and Jay give their own readings. However, Ben falters over his speech and comes dangerously close to making a confession in front of everyone. He later apologises to Shirley for ruining the reading.

Once the funeral is over, Phil rebukes Ben over his near-confession - reminding him that he would destroy the whole family if he ever came clean. Taking the advice on board, Ben sneaks off to retrieve his rucksack, but panics when he can't find it. Ben worries further when he spots Jean and Alfie with the rucksack, but he manages to get it back before they open it.

With the day drawing to a close, Shirley goes through Heather's work locker and is stunned to find two train tickets, realising that Andrew was telling the truth about the plans to elope after all.

Over at Heather's wake at The Vic, DS Crisp suddenly turns up to make an arrest, announcing that he wants to speak to Mr Mitchell. All the Mitchell men panic - who will be arrested?

Elsewhere, Michael finally signs Janine's pre-nuptial agreement.

    Friday

The Mitchells are panicking over DS Crisp's latest arrest. At the same time, Shirley visits Andrew and Dot to apologise for her recent behaviour. She admits that she wanted Andrew to be guilty as she was jealous over his closeness to Heather.

Keen to make amends, Shirley visits the police station with Andrew and verifies his story by presenting the train tickets to DS Crisp. Later, things look worse for the Mitchell schemers as Shirley - with Andrew's help - vows to find the identity of Heather's killer.

Meanwhile, Jean and Michael discuss the murder case during a chat at The Vic. As the person arrested by the police had lots of money on them, Michael teases Jean that she could be the murderer's next victim due to her scratch card win. He then plants the seed that Jean should invest the cash…

Elsewhere, a guilt-ridden Mandy knows that she has to do the right thing, although she isn't the only one with a secret in the Beale household - Ian is still planning to buy back the café.

Please note that no further details will be released about this episode.
