EastEnders' Jean Slater admits that she could be a crucial witness in the case of Heather Trott's murder in tonight's (March 27) episode of the soap.

Jean (Gillian Wright) is shocked when she reads a damning newspaper report which paints Andrew (Ricky Grover) as the guilty party - and expresses her belief that he's completely innocent.

Quizzed by Alfie (Shane Richie) and Roxy (Rita Simons), Jean explains that she saw Andrew at the tube station around the time of Heather's death, so he couldn't have been the culprit.

However, when Alfie and Roxy immediately doubt Jean's story, will she be deterred from going to the police?

EastEnders airs these scenes tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.

I thought it Billy's hoodie that Phil takes for Jay?????

Alan posted on the 20th lizann that it's Andrew's hoodie . DNA tests would prove it to be Andrew's . Either way can't see how this storyline can keep going without Ben being found out , fairly quickly. Don't know of Ben or Jay leaving the cast so how this can continue is a mystery to me. Hope it's not going to be Andrew wrongly convicted that will be ridiculous in view of all that's gone on.
