Soapland's rumour mill has gone into overdrive in the past few weeks, so we thought it was time for another edition of our Soap Scoop Q&A to respond to some of the most popular questions you've been sending us.

Read on for the truth behind some EastEnders speculation, details of Coronation Street's upcoming murder plot and more.


Is it true that Tyler from EastEnders is bisexual and will have a fling with Christian?
This rumour has been doing the rounds for a few weeks now, but it's definitely untrue. The speculation started online and was later picked up on by a magazine, which fuelled the claims even further. However, our sources tell us there are no plans for such a storyline - so 'Chryed' fans can rest assured that Tyler won't be causing any trouble for their favourite couple!

Is there a rape storyline planned for Derek and Roxy in EastEnders?
This is another rumour that is totally untrue, despite speculation online and in magazines. As we've seen in this week's episodes, Derek isn't very happy with Roxy at the moment, but there are absolutely no plans for a rape storyline involving the two characters.

Will EastEnders' Roxy be at the centre of a 'who's the daddy' pregnancy story involving Derek, Jack and Max?
As with the other false Roxy rumour above, there aren't any plans for this to happen.


Who will be the main suspects for Frank's death in Coronation Street?
Carla, Kevin, Michelle, Peter and Sally will be the five characters who are suspected by the police and the viewers as the investigation plays out. This is soapland, so we'd never rule out a last-minute shocker, but those are the main five who'll be in the frame.

Frank's final episodes air on Monday, March 5. As reported in the press, Sally will be looking particularly suspicious in those episodes as she is found standing over his dead body at Underworld! We also recently interviewed Sally Dynevor about the Frank storyline, so keep an eye out for that on the site next week.

When will we see Christian back in EastEnders? How about Phil?
Christian is back on Tuesday, March 6 in a big week for the Masoods. Phil returns to screens on Monday, March 12 as he finally lets Shirley visit him in prison.


Does Rachel have a big story on the way in Emmerdale?
Rachel's story begins next week when she gets a job cleaning at the Thomas residence, and becomes uneasy over the way Ashley is treating Sandy. This will be a story to keep an eye on over the next few weeks, so stay tuned…

When will Heston dump Marina in Doctors?
Heston's domestic abuse storyline will reach its conclusion in the week beginning March 5. We recently interviewed Owen Brenman about this big week for Heston, and the chat will be published on our site next week.

Will Kate really try to break up Jade and Kyle in Neighbours?
"Yes, it sounds like we could soon be seeing a different side to Kate as she starts actively plotting against the couple in a bid to win Kyle. But we'll have to wait and see how far she'll go and whether her conscience kicks in!

Coronation Street
Paul will come up with a new care plan for Lesley, but Eileen struggles to cope with the change in their situation. With Paul still insisting that he doesn't want to put Lesley in a care home, will there be trouble ahead for him and Eileen?

Audrey tries to make amends with Lewis after wrongly accusing him of stealing - and it's not long before she's hiding a secret from her loved ones…

Rita spreads the news that she's an engaged woman after agreeing to marry Dennis. Will the pair's rumoured summer wedding go ahead?

It's no secret that Michelle is one of the suspects for Frank Foster's murder, and we find out why when she confesses that she returned to the factory on the night of his death. Did she go back to kill him?

Peter is also a suspect in the case, and he can't remember what happened that night as he was drunk. As reported in the papers, he'll confess to killing Frank to take the heat off Carla. Are either of them to blame? And when Leanne realises that she might have an alibi for Peter, will she take action?

Betty Williams's exit storyline begins when her son Gordon Clegg returns to the cobbles to announce that she has passed away. Betty's funeral will take place off-screen but there'll be a wake for her at The Rovers and her long-held secret will be revealed…



EastEnders
When Shirley visits Phil in prison, she realises that he's receiving vicious treatment behind bars. The shocks don't end there, though, as Phil announces that his solicitor has managed to reduce the charge to manslaughter and he's pleading guilty.

Still determined to help Phil, Shirley storms round to the Beale house to confront Ben once again - but doesn't get anywhere. Later, Ian is stunned when Ben confides in him, confessing that he's been lying about Phil all along. Ian has a big decision to make over what to do next…

Meanwhile, Dot will treat Heather by buying a dream wedding dress for her. But, with her dramatic exit storyline looming, will Heather ever make it down the aisle?



Emmerdale
Rhona is determined that she doesn't want to make a commitment to Paddy after her plans for a leap year proposal go wrong. However, Paddy decides to persist in the coming weeks and asks her to marry him - will she accept?

When Sandy has another accident, Ashley begins talking about care homes again and takes his father to visit one. Rachel also begins to voice her suspicions over the way Ashley is treating Sandy…



Hollyoaks
After splitting from Annalise, Rob tries to chat up Theresa - but this sparks a backlash from his fellow HCC students. Could Rob's behaviour lead to a rift with Will? And will Rob learn any lessons when the students take action?

Ste, Doug, Annalise and Cheryl all attend a business contest. Annalise gives Cheryl a makeover for the occasion. Will any of them be successful?

Riley prepares to christen baby Bobby, while Mitzeee causes trouble by stirring things between Mercedes and the McQueens.

Jacqui tries to help Phoebe, but will she get too involved as she attempts to do a good turn?

Has Diane Keen left Doctors?
We've asked Doctors about rumours that Diane has left the show, but at the moment they're not confirming or denying this - so make of that what you will!

For those who don't know, there were recently some tweets from members of the Doctors team which sparked speculation that Diane had left. Additionally, Diane's character Julia Parsons is going to be involved in a big stunt that is coming up (details here).

Fans should also keep an eye out for a possible new love interest for Julia when she gets to know garage owner Martin Millar (played by Miles Anderson) in a few weeks' time. Exit or no exit, it sounds like there's lots on the way for Julia in the next few weeks...

When will the partners in Doctors choose between Freya and Kevin for the job?
This was revealed by Lu Corfield, who plays Freya, in her recent interview with us. Freya will soon discover that she has failed her exams, which leaves the partners with no choice but to pick Kevin for the job. Freya is still sticking around, though.

Are Karl and Susan getting back together in Neighbours anytime soon?
We still haven't seen anything to suggest a reunion for the pair, but it looks like they'll carry on being a part of each other's lives. There's a story coming up on screen in Australia shortly which sees Susan supporting Karl after one of his old friends passes away. But Susan's involvement then causes problems for Karl's new relationship with Jessica…


Is Aaron involved in the Emmerdale fire?
Early reports suggesting that Aaron would be the one trapped in the blaze were incorrect, but he does apparently get involved in the race to rescue Cain from the flames. As Emmerdale fans already know, it's also been rumoured that Aaron's exit storyline will involve him taking the blame for Adam's arson - but for now, we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out…

Is it true that Joel is going to be injured in Hollyoaks?
We've heard this rumour too. It's totally unconfirmed at the moment, but Andrew Still who plays Joel was spotted doing some on-location filming with Emmett Scanlan (Brendan) at the weekend. Onlookers reported on Twitter that Joel was covered in blood for the scenes. Could Joel's association with Brendan be about to land him in big trouble?

Is the Cameron and Chas story over in Emmerdale?
Dominic Power, who plays Cameron, recently hinted that there is more to come with this story and we reckon Chas's feelings won't just disappear again overnight. We'd put our money on the spark between those two being explored further!


When will Frank's killer be revealed on Corrie?
Monday, March 19 - when Sally discovers the truth.

Are there any stories ahead for David and Kylie on Corrie?
Kylie is about to take Max out of school due to her ongoing feud with Brian, which may not go down well with David! Further ahead, we've recently interviewed Jack P Shepherd - who plays David - about significant tensions in the Platt family, which fans will hear more about soon…

If you've read our spoilers for next week, you'll know that Ben conceals Jay's hoodie in the aftermath of Heather's death. It doesn't take long for the twisted teen to use this to his advantage - letting Jay know about it to threaten him. How will Ben react when Phil steps in and orders him to burn the hoodie immediately?

Not long afterwards, Jay pays a visit to the police station - what does he have to say?

Derek continues his attempts to interfere with the Mitchell empire - how will newly-released Phil react?

Meanwhile, Lorraine's visit to Walford is having a long-lasting effect as Ian continues to worry that she may have been right about Mandy.



Emmerdale
When Ed presses Aaron for a decision on whether he'll move to France, Aaron resolves not to go - feeling that his best mate Adam needs him following the garage fire.

Meanwhile, the police realise that the fire was an arson attack - so things don't look good for Adam until Aaron comes up with a plan…

Sandy is injured when Ashley loses control and pushes him, which is witnessed by Gabby.

Lisa thinks that Zak's current problems are caused by alcohol, so she asks Chas to stop serving him at The Woolpack.



Hollyoaks
The upcoming cosy moment between Riley and Mitzeee on the night of the awards ceremony is innocent, but soon after the drama at the christening, the pair kiss for real.

Pregnant Nancy collapses with severe stomach pains - will the baby be okay?

Ash also has a hospital dash ahead as she collapses with meningitis.

Amid all the drama for the Kanes, we learn that Martha has a drink problem.

In Coronation Street, will Carla have many scenes with her brother Rob before her break from the show?
She will! We hear that Carla will have about a month's worth of scenes with Rob before she leaves Weatherfield with Peter. Rob's arrival will actually make it a little bit easier for Carla to go, as she can leave Underworld in the capable hands of her brother and Michelle. So it sounds like it'll be business as usual at the factory, but with a slightly new dynamic!

Has Sue Johnston returned to filming at Coronation Street yet? When will we see her character Gloria Price on screen?
We can confirm that Sue will now be filming at Coronation Street from July. Gloria will appear on screen from September.


Is it true that Gemma Pranita (Jade Mitchell) is leaving Neighbours?
While this isn't confirmed at the moment, our spies tell us that Neighbours will indeed be announcing a cast departure later this month, so it's likely that there is some truth in the rumours about Gemma. As ever, though, nothing is certain until it's announced, so keep an eye out for the official word on this.

Is there any update on the news of Hollyoaks casting a deaf actor? We saw a deaf character at the recent sixth form Open Day, so has the role been cast now?
Yes, the character Dylan who befriended Lacey at the Open Day is the new arrival, played by actor Mikey Riddington-Smith. Although the character was originally supposed to be called Mikey, it seems that this was changed after the casting stage. As expected, it's thought that fans will see Dylan return and feature more prominently at a later date.

When will Hannah and Holly Barton leave Emmerdale? Are the exits coming soon or later in the year?
Both Hannah and Holly will be leaving the village later this month. It's expected that this will air on June 20, but the date could change due to all of the soap schedule changes across June. It's fair to say that it's a pretty low-key exit for the two sisters, and fans are already seeing the build-up to this at the moment…


What's coming up for Maria and Marcus in Coronation Street?
As most fans have probably guessed and as recently indicated in magazines, Maria will soon realise that she may be starting to develop feelings for Marcus. It's not quite clear where it's heading, but it's Audrey who gives Maria a wake-up call by pointing out that she could ruin her friendship with Marcus if her feelings are becoming confused…

EastEnders spoilers suggest that Abi will have to choose between being a vet or marrying Jay. Why can't she do both?
From what we can tell, this refers to the fact that Abi becomes uneasy when Jay seems to assume that she will drop her ambitions in favour of settling down with him. First of all, Abi has an offer for a scholarship trip to Costa Rica to consider, so it comes down to a choice for the teenager of what she wants - the trip or Jay?


Magazine spoilers revealed that Tanya would propose to Max, but more recent ones say that Max proposes to Tanya. What's going on?
Both are correct as there are two proposals! All should become clear when the next set of spoilers go live, but Tanya's proposal comes first and it would seem that Max isn't quite ready at that point. But who knows what will happen when Max later turns the tables by asking Tanya to marry him?

Do you have any Doctors gossip?
We've already teased this on Twitter, but the show will be taking a three-week break from late June. Fortunately, there's an unmissable episode on Monday, June 18 before it does, which leaves fans on a big (and tragic!) cliffhanger.
