Meanwhile, life gets more complicated for Hollyoaks' George when his fellow sixth former Callum discovers his secret.

Fans of the soap recently saw that George (Steven Roberts) has been squatting as he is homeless - which Callum finds out when they begin spending more time together for a college presentation.

Although Callum (Laurie Duncan) agrees to keep George's secret, keeping quiet proves a struggle as he becomes increasingly concerned about his friend's living arrangements and health.

As the situation develops, George's squat-mate Phoebe (Mandip Gill) doesn't like Callum hanging about and interfering - so she warns George to keep a distance. However, when Callum insists on staying over, can George say no?

Monday

Dennis faces the difficult choice between going to Mumbai for an amazing job opportunity, or staying and declaring his love for Leanne.

Meanwhile, as Maddie returns from holiday, Callum is growing concerned about George's living arrangements but vows to keep his secret.

Elsewhere, Jono is on cloud nine after sleeping with Ruby, but is Ruby simply using him to climb the social ladder?

Also today, Cheryl worries about Brendan following Declan's departure.

Tuesday

George's 'squat-mate' Phoebe doesn't like Callum hanging about and warns George to keep a distance.

However, when Callum insists on staying over, can George say no?

Meanwhile, Ruby is left confused about where she stands with Jono - and Maddie shows her frustration at Ruby muscling in on her turf.

Elsewhere, Dennis gets the wrong end of the stick when Leanne tries to let him down gently.



Wednesday


Callum's concerns grow for George's health and it's getting harder for him to keep it a secret.

Things get more complicated when Maddie discovers that he wasn't at home last night.

Meanwhile, Leanne is heavy-handed when she clears the air with Dennis, sticking to her 'cruel to be kind' resolve. This leads Dennis to make his mind up - he's going to India!

Elsewhere, Jono and Ruby are blissfully unaware that they are falling in love.

Thursday

Cheryl tells Brendan about her plans to start uni, but is deflated when Brendan makes fun of her.

Meanwhile, Ruby's getting mixed messages from Jono, who's feeling self-conscious by his lack of sexual experience.

Elsewhere, Callum's loyalty to George is affecting his relationship with Maddie.

Also today, Dennis finally takes off for Mumbai despite his strong feelings for Leanne.


Friday

Darren starts arrangements for a secret wedding - convinced he knows everything about Nancy.

Meanwhile, Lynsey persuades Cheryl not to give up on her dream - she's going to uni.

Elsewhere, George is hurt when Phoebe allows him to be accused of stealing Callum's watch and he decides to live on his own. Worried that he can't cope, Phoebe approaches Callum for help.

Also today, Maddie uses Sinead to drive a wedge between Jono and Ruby.

Hollyoaks newcomer Mandip Gill has revealed the first details of her role as homeless teen Phoebe on the soap.

As reported at the weekend, Phoebe is currently sharing a squat with sixth former George Smith (Steven Roberts) as neither have anywhere else to go.

Hollyoaks introduces Phoebe in upcoming episodes as George's fellow student Callum Kane (Laurie Duncan) discovers the truth about his living arrangements.

When Callum later starts hanging around the squat, Phoebe becomes nervous - wanting him to stay away and stop interfering.

Gill told TV Times of her character: "She's streetwise. Whereas George is new to all this, she has done it for a long time. While Callum is a good friend of George's, in her eyes anyone from the 'outside' is trouble.

"She fears being grassed up. She doesn't want to go into care and she doesn't want to be separated from George. He and her dog Thunder are all she has."

When George has a falling-out with Phoebe, he ends up deciding to live on his own. However, Phoebe feels guilty as she knows that George hasn't been feeling well lately - so she has to ask Callum for help.

"By this point, George is very ill and she knows it'd be on her conscience if anything happened to him," Gill added.

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with a first look screening at 7pm on E4.
