Coming up in Emmerdale, it's the end of the line for Alicia and Andy as they break up over the cancelled trip to Spain.

After Andy makes it clear that he won't be leaving the village after all, Alicia suggests that they could at least go on holiday with Jacob - but the farmer leaves her frustrated by ruling this out too.

As a rift between the couple grows, Alicia gets even more angry when she overhears Andy complaining about her "nagging on about Spain". Questioning his commitment to her, Alicia loses patience with her partner.

In the end, Alicia finds that the tables are turned on her when Andy ends their relationship, explaining that he needs to focus all of his attention on Sarah while she's unwell.

As Andy suggests that Alicia should find someone else, will she take this advice on board?

John drops a bombshell on the workers
Airs on Monday, September 12 2011 19:00 BST on ITV1

Moira is convinced that John can't pull off the supermarket deadline, while John believes that he can talk Declan into allowing a late rent payment. Declan plays tough during his proposal and turns down John's idea. John then hits a nerve when he tells Declan that he's just jealous of the Bartons for having a close family - something he doesn't have.

With the supermarket refusing to budge on the deadline, John has to drop a bombshell on Alex, Andy and the family - they will all be doing overtime for no money. John explains that he hopes to pay them if they pull off the deal but Moira despairs - the deal could fail and John will bring down his own family as well as Alex and Andy's.

Meanwhile, Marlon is disappointed when Laurel tells him that she won't be able to help with the cookbook for the time being. When Laurel makes an effort with Ashley's breakfast, Sandy points out that Ashley is neglecting her. Sandy is later pleased to see that Ashley has understood the message and already planned a romantic dinner for him and Laurel.

Elsewhere, Aaron's agitated by Sean hanging round; Charity wants to plan the wedding but Jai hasn't yet told his parents; Alicia and Andy struggle with their different desires; David heads off on his honeymoon alone; Declan tells Katie that he's going away and wants to make the most of his time with her; while Chas is pleased when she discovers that Aaron is going back to college.


Andy ends his relationship with Alicia

Andy is concerned that Alicia hasn't told Jacob about the move to Spain being cancelled. However, Alicia explains that Jacob is so excited she needs to find a way of breaking it to him. Later, Alicia's angry when she overhears Andy saying that he needs the house tonight for time alone with Alicia, to stop her nagging on about Spain.

As the day continues, Alicia breaks the news about Spain to Jacob and buys him a computer game as a consolation. Soon afterwards, Andy and Alicia argue and Alicia questions Andy's commitment to her. Andy eventually tells Alicia that he needs all his effort for Sarah and it's best she finds someone else.


Meanwhile, Aaron turns up early to help the Bartons on the farm. Chas is reassured by Diane's words when she thinks that Aaron is doing well. Soon afterwards, Aaron heads out to visit Jackson's grave to see the headstone, which has just been put up. His feelings of grief, pain and anger are clear when he takes them out on the punch-bag. Later, Aaron tries to hide his blood-stained hands from Adam when he calls at the garage.

Elsewhere, Moira is concerned about the supermarket deadlines; Nicola snubs Jimmy at the pub by leaving when Rodney asks him to join them; Laurel is concerned when Sandy questions her about Ashley upsetting her; while Holly quits her job at the factory to help on the farm.


Aaron comes face-to-face with his ex-boyfriend

Although Aaron seems to be convincing everyone that he is okay, he snaps at Holly, which concerns her. At the garage, Aaron is close to losing it with Sean and his own rage shakes him, but Rachel soon apologises to him over her nephew's behaviour.

Later, on a rare boys' night out together, Adam and Alex give Aaron some space when they bump into Flynn, but Aaron finds it difficult to talk to his ex. When the others have left, Flynn is out of his depth when Aaron reveals the true extent of his self-loathing.

Meanwhile, Jai plans a visit to his parents' and questions what they will think of Charity. Nikhil is amused by his brother's worries, while Charity is taken aback when Jai announces that he'll be going alone. Charity feels that Jai is keeping her away because his parents will think she's not good enough for him.

Elsewhere, Andy is regretful when Alicia won't accept his offer to help or talk; Jimmy's hopes for reconciliation with Nicola are dashed when they argue about childcare; while Carl is intrigued to find Alicia is single.



Aaron collapses with exhaustion
Airs on Thursday, September 15 2011 19:00 BST on ITV1

Aaron is exhausted and running on empty, but still turns up to help at the farm before work. When Adam questions Aaron about how he ended the night out with Flynn, Aaron snaps. Moira is concerned that Aaron is pushing himself too hard, while Paddy can also see that Aaron is dead on his feet.

At the pub, Chas is worried about Aaron's aggressive tone towards Sean. But later at the garage, things get more serious when Aaron collapses after chasing Sean, who has run off with the garage cash tin.

Meanwhile, Andy feels guilty when Jacob asks if he can play with Sarah when she gets back from Jersey. Soon afterwards, Alicia makes a snap decision about moving to Spain with Jacob, loudly announcing that there is nothing keeping them in Emmerdale any longer. Carl later flirts with a mildly amused Alicia and enjoys seeing her get one over on Chas.

Elsewhere, Nicola is left reeling when she finds that Jimmy has been trying to track Elliot down, while Charity feels shut out by Jai as he leaves for the visit to his parents.

Aaron's self-harm crisis worsens

Sean rushes to the pub and announces that Aaron has collapsed. The mechanic's loved ones come to the scene, but Aaron has gone. As the search begins for Aaron, he is seen stumbling along the road by Zak and Sam, who take him home. With Aaron found, Paddy takes Chas to him, but Aaron makes her feel rejected.

Later, alone at the Dingles', Aaron sees a knife and picks it up. When Sam returns to the house, he finds Aaron in surprisingly good spirits. As Aaron throws him a beer, he glances down at his own shirt and covers up the traces of blood starting to show through his shirt…

Meanwhile, Charity butters up Nikhil to find out more about his parents. Charity is annoyed to think that Jai is ashamed of her and couldn't take her to meet his parents. Nikhil does not want to spend the evening with Charity, but feels snubbed when Gennie takes more interest in Nicky. Competitive Nikhil agrees to go running with Nicky, but both are full of bravado about being the better runner.

Elsewhere, Nicola's furious that Jimmy is trying to find Elliot and Kelly, while Carl kisses Alicia on the lips.



Nicola makes a drastic decision about Jimmy
Airs on Friday, September 16 2011 19:00 BST on ITV1

Bob tells Jimmy that he knows where Kelly is and Jimmy gives him money to start paying maintenance for Elliot. Soon afterwards, Jimmy goes to the office to ask Nicola where the electrician is, as he asked for her help yesterday when the haulage firm was plunged into darkness. He is frustrated that Nicola hasn't sorted out an electrician, so takes matters into his own hands by calling Declan abroad, who sends another electrician.

Edna worries that Jimmy has gone behind Nicola's back, and she's right to be concerned as Nicola is fuming when both electricians turn up and she finds out what he's done. Nicola and Jimmy argue over Kelly and Elliot, and any chance of reconciliation is dashed when Nicola strongly states that the divorce is back on.

Meanwhile, Zak is hopeful about his ideas for helping Aaron but Chas continues to worry. Aaron feels that he's not wanted at the Bartons' when he heads there for work but they tell him they're concerned about him working too hard after his collapse. He realises Chas has phoned ahead to explain what happened. Later, Aaron is riled when he sees the punch bag has been taken away and Zak explains that he's moved it to the Homestead. Despite Aaron acting fine about their interference, Chas knows he's unhappy about it.


Elsewhere, Alicia feels wretched when she tries to apologise to Andy about what happened with Carl and he casually says that it's nothing to do with him; Gennie ponders the idea that Nicky might fancy her when he calls her cute; while Val wants everyone to be on their best behaviour when the Elite B & B forms arrive.
