Home and Away star Steve Peacocke has spoken of how his character Brax makes another decision he will live to regret by getting involved in a brawl at the Surf Club.
In scenes which air in Australia next week, Brax steps back in to help the River Boys after they find themselves embroiled in a war with villainous newcomer Hammer (Benedict Samuel) and his rival gang.
When the River Boys' newest recruit Stu is targeted by Hammer's gang in a vicious attack, Brax joins his old group as they fight back against their rivals at the Surf Club. However, things go wrong when innocent bystander John Palmer gets knocked out amid the violence.
Peacocke told TV Week. "It's just a big scrap - and Brax has definitely gone back to his old self. As much as Brax didn't like John, he didn't want him to get dusted up, because he's an old bloke. But John ends up worse than any of us."
In a further twist, Brax's on-off girlfriend Charlie Buckton (Esther Anderson) is soon on the scene - and she is forced to arrest him and the other River Boys.
Peacocke added: "He's been keeping clean and trying to be an upstanding citizen, but now he looks like the person everyone has been saying he is. He feels like he's let himself down - and Charlie, because she's making sacrifices all the time.
"It's humiliating for Brax, because he makes a fool of himself and she's there to see it."
Home and Away fans in the UK will see these scenes air on Channel 5 later this year.
