Coming up in Emmerdale, all hell breaks loose as Gennie blurts out her true feelings for Nikhil - leaving Chas stunned.

As Katie, Gennie and Charity all come together to cheer Chas up following the difficult time she's had recently, Chas starts to open up about her relationship with Nikhil - complaining that being with him feels like a prison sentence.

When Chas goes on to confess that she cheated on the businessman with Carl, it provokes a furious reaction from Gennie, who claims that she doesn't deserve Nikhil.

As the argument between the pair escalates, Gennie shocks everyone by confessing that she loves Nikhil. The revelation prompts Chas to back down from the row, but Charity quickly steps in with an angry reaction of her own and grabs Gennie by the hair…

27th June

Charity tells Gennie and Katie that she needs their help to get Chas drunk tonight. Later, in Victoria, Katie twigs that Gennie has a crush on Nikhil just as Chas and Charity arrive laden with drinks. Gennie's put out when Chas complains that being with Nikhil feels like a prison sentence and admits that she cheated on him with Carl. Gennie's horrified and lays into Chas, shouting that she doesn't deserve Nikhil.

Chas tries to defend herself but is clearly affected by Gennie's words. As their row escalates, Gennie shouts the odds at Chas for ignoring her son who so desperately needed her and blurts out that she loves Nikhil. As a broken Chas backs down, Charity grabs Gennie by the hair.

Meanwhile, Hazel approaches Aaron and apologises for how things worked out. Feeling uncomfortable in Dale Head, Aaron points out that he's not allowed to talk to witnesses and leaves.

Elsewhere, Val and Amy discover Pollard has already bought the barn when Diane tells them that he's been playing them for fools; while Declan's short with Adam at work, but Mia tries to stay professional and keep her true feelings hidden.


28th June

Gennie leaves for work, ignoring Chas's attempts to patch things up. Seeing Nikhil in the village, Chas asks for a word and he's gutted when she breaks up with him, explaining that they're not right for each other and she's only holding him back from meeting someone more suitable.

Later, Chas finds Gennie in the café and apologises for hurting her feelings. Gennie's stunned when Chas tells her that she's broken up with Nikhil and urges her to tell Nikhil how she feels. Seeing glum Nikhil in the pub, Gennie tries to cheer him up but he laughs and storms out when she tells him that she loves him. Following him out, Gennie's devastated when Nikhil tells her that he could never fancy someone like her.

Meanwhile, Aaron decides to return to work and when Ashley arrives to pick his car up, he tells Aaron that he doesn't want to see him go to prison. However, Aaron replies that he failed at his one job of offering comfort when people need it. Ashley leaves as Debbie arrives and Aaron tells her that he doesn't know how he's going to get through this.

Elsewhere, Adam tells Moira that Ella forced him to break up with Mia; Pollard discovers that his secret has been rumbled; Amy secretly arranges a house party; and Victoria's put out when Alex tells her that he's meeting friends in town.


29th Jun

Ella is uneasy when Declan tells her that he's going to have a word with Adam. After a day out shopping together, Ella starts to realise how much Mia liked Adam. At the same time, Declan asks Adam why he broke up with Mia and sacks him when he doesn't give an adequate reason.

Returning to the house, Mia makes herself scarce when she discovers Declan's firing Adam, but Ella storms into the office to confront Declan. Adam's mortified when Declan works out from Ella's rant that they've been sleeping together…

Meanwhile, Chas asks Aaron to sit with her in the café, telling him that she broke up with Nikhil. Chas is annoyed when Brenda asks Aaron how Hazel's holding up, prompting Aaron to visit her. However, Aaron gets no response when he calls through Hazel's letterbox - Hazel is inside but doesn't answer the door.

Elsewhere, Gennie tells Chas that her advice to tell Nikhil how she feels backfired spectacularly, while Nikhil starts to feel guilty over his behaviour; Leyla avoids opening her bills and goes wedding dress shopping, but Alicia's clearly put out that nothing exciting is happening in her own life; while Victoria's furious when Alex openly pervs on Alicia and later pushes his face into his dinner when he gives an inadequate reason for ogling the barmaid

30th June

Adam tries to deny the affair, but Declan realises the truth and warns him to get out. Ella realises that she might have gone too far when Declan's incredulous she would ruin her daughter's happiness just to test whether he still has feelings for her. Mia and Dermot question what they're arguing about, but Declan doesn't reveal Ella's cheating and takes the flak for firing Adam.

Walking home, Adam's nervous when Declan pulls up next to him and angrily gets out of the car. He threatens Adam to stay away from Mia, warning him that he'll destroy the farm if Mia ever finds out about the affair. Moira prompts Adam to tell John the truth when he reveals he's been sacked. John's stunned, but Adam assures him it won't affect the farm.

Later, Mia informs Declan that Ella's taken the car despite being too drunk to drive and he tells her that Ella admitted to having an affair. When Ella returns, Declan sees red as she swears on Mia's life that she'd never do anything to hurt him again - he pushes her outside and slams the door.

Meanwhile, Hazel visits Aaron at the garage and apologises for letting him down. She approaches Bob outside the café and is about to sit down for a coffee when she notices a council van pull up outside Dale Head and heads over. Bob's concerned when Hazel refuses to let the social services collector take Jackson's chair.

Elsewhere, Victoria agrees to let Amy test Alex with a honey trap plan; David and Leyla book their wedding for Valentine's Day 2012; and Nikhil is crushed when Chas explains why they aren't right for each other.

Charity's unimpressed when Jai agrees to let Ella stay the night until Declan cools off. At the same time, Declan refuses when Mia asks him to let Ella move back in. Tipped off by Jai, Declan turns up at Holdgate and storms inside to confront Ella, asking her for a word outside. Declan tells Ella that she's gone too far by sabotaging Mia's happiness out of jealousy. When she slaps him, he insists that he wants her out of their lives for good.

Meanwhile, Alicia asks Diane if she can have the night off tomorrow to go to Leyla's engagement party. Diane agrees, advising Alicia to make things happen for herself when she complains that everyone else seems to be doing exciting things. When Alicia finds out that Andy has a grandma in Spain, she's keen for them to take a holiday to visit her. Excited, Alicia wonders to Andy whether they could move out there one day.


Elsewhere, Amy lets herself into Dale Head and finds Alex in a towel. Realising what Amy's up to when she starts to flirt with him, Alex starts to reciprocate. Amy leans in to kiss Alex and is humiliated when he busts her and asks her to tell Victoria that he doesn't mess girls around. Later, Amy debriefs Victoria.

Also, Bob helps Hazel see sense over the council collection. Aaron leaves after all of Jackson's things have been taken, awkwardly telling Hazel that they're not allowed to talk. Hazel then gets upset, telling Bob how empty everything seems.

1st July

Mia is desperate to find out what's going on between Declan and Ella, but Declan refuses to give anything away. At the same time, Charity's not happy when Jai agrees to let a hungover Ella stay for as long as she needs. Unaware that Ella has been sleeping with Adam, Charity advises her that Declan doesn't have the right to keep her away from Mia.

Later, Declan visits John and Moira and they're relieved when he promises that as long as they keep quiet about Adam and Ella, there's no reason for it to affect their business arrangement. However, John's quietly furious when Declan insists they provide their first payment ASAP instead of waiting a few months for them to get established as previously agreed. When Declan returns home, he's furious to find Ella in the house demanding to see Mia. He forcibly ejects her from the house in front of Mia and Dermot.


Meanwhile, Leyla is intrigued when Alicia says that she and Andy have got a big surprise. John's supportive when Andy tells him that Alicia's keen for them to emigrate to Spain. Alicia's over the moon when Andy tells her that Annie mentioned a farm near her in Spain and there's plenty of work out there. At the party, despite Andy's pleas not to say anything, Alicia announces that they're moving abroad. However, Leyla's distraught at the thought of losing Jacob as Pollard raises a toast.

Elsewhere, Victoria's annoyed to realise that Alex found the honey trap fiasco funny, while Adam starts to pitch in at the farm again.
