Coming up in Emmerdale, there's a scary moment on the way at The Woolpack as pregnant Rhona finds herself caught up in a scuffle between Aaron and Adam.

Now resigned to the fact that he'll soon be losing Jackson, Aaron is feeling distracted and detached from everyday life. When Adam picks up on this at the pub, he drunkenly asks Aaron whether he's found another guy and encourages him to confess all.

As Adam pushes him too far, Aaron loses his temper with his friend and the pair end up in a heated clash in front of everyone.

At the same time, Rhona has persuaded Marlon to let her clean some tables at the pub, but she ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time as she's pushed to the ground amid Aaron and Adam's altercation.

Marlon is furious when he spots what's happened to Rhona and suddenly there's a surprise in store for everyone as she starts having contractions…

30th May

Paddy is in turmoil and feeling increasingly left out about the baby. Realising something is wrong, Chas visits him at the vets and he opens up about his true feelings. Needing to get out of the village, they head off for a drive and Chas is worried as Paddy wonders whether he's made a mistake and this is never going to work out.

At the same time, over at the pub, a bored Rhona persuades Marlon to let her help clearing tables. However, when she gets caught up in a scuffle between Aaron and Adam, she's knocked to the ground. Marlon is furious when he realises that Rhona's been injured and snaps at Aaron, who storms out just as Rhona starts to feel contractions…

Meanwhile, Jimmy receives a letter from the solicitors about divorce proceedings, but with his new resolve he doesn't crumble. Nicola is cold towards him when he sees her with Angelica and is put out when he tells Angelica that he'll see her later. At Connelton, Jimmy spends time with his daughter and Nicola is aware that he's not prepared to be pushed around. Rodney then warns her not to push Jimmy too far.

Elsewhere, Gennie is getting increasingly fed up of single life, while Alex and Victoria finally make up.

31st may


Rhona is in labour but she's unable to get hold of Paddy, who is pouring his heart out to Chas, so Marlon and Rhona make their way to the hospital. When Paddy arrives back in the village, Diane gives him the news and he races to the hospital. However, Marlon and Rhona are already in the delivery suite ready to push the baby out. Paddy is stuck in traffic as Marlon acts as Rhona's rock during the final stage of labour.

The baby arrives safely and Marlon and Rhona are overwhelmed as they welcome their child into the world. Paddy finally arrives and sees the happy family through the window of the ward just as the nurse reminds him that it's usually only the baby's father who's allowed in. Unable to bring himself to go in, Paddy leaves alone.

Meanwhile, Adam finds Aaron hiding out at the cricket pavilion wracked with guilt. Adam assures him that Rhona will be fine before spilling that he's been sleeping with Ella.

Elsewhere, Bob tells Gennie that he's noticed she's been down in the dumps recently. She warns him that she's had too much to drink but when he asks her what she wants, she reveals that she wants Nikhil to break up with Chas and declare his love for her.


1st June

Paddy visits Rhona and the baby in hospital and when Marlon arrives with cans of lager to toast the new arrival, Paddy can't help but feel excluded and guilty that he missed the birth. He is surprised to learn Rhona and Marlon have already named the baby Leo. As they take the baby home and a stream of visitors arrive, Paddy continues to struggle with feeling left out.

Meanwhile, Ella is impatient as she waits for Declan to take her out. Later, she calls Adam and they meet up at the stables, but Adam panics when he has to lie to Katie about what he's doing up there. Ella cheekily suggests that he was jealous earlier when she went out with Declan and claims she's flattered. Pulling Adam towards her, they kiss once again.

Elsewhere, a hungover Gennie is persuaded to accept Nikhil's offer of a lift to work. She continues to struggle with her feelings for him as she listens to Rhona tease him about wanting a baby himself. Inside the new café, Gennie sees it's an emotional time for Bob as he thinks about Viv.

Also today, Aaron struggles to hold things together, and Leyla is concerned when David tells her that he's resigned from the council.

2nd June

Jackson insists on going to a friend's engagement party. As they return home, Aaron becomes emotional and suggests to Jackson that they could get married too, as he wants everyone to know how much he loves him. However, Jackson says no, assuring Aaron he has nothing to prove.

Meanwhile, Adam is feeling guilty about Ella, who is still annoyed with Declan for ignoring her at lunch. When she asks him for a lift to pick up her car, Adam knows what she's really after. Pulling into a lay-by, Adam kisses Ella, not realising Moira has driven past and seen them together. Back at Butler's, Moira confronts Adam, warning him to end it or she'll sort things herself - he's not only risking his relationship with Mia but also the family's business and home.

Elsewhere, Paddy continues to struggle with his feelings about Rhona, Marlon and the baby and is anxious not to get in the way.

Also today, Leyla's thoughtful after Betty wonders why she and David are not getting married. The pair discuss marriage, and both secretly wonder if it is really such a crazy idea.

3rd June


Adam arrives at work and tells Ella that they need to have a chat later. As Declan arrives at Butlers to sign the paperwork for the deal, Ella and Adam meet at the stables. Adam explains that they've been caught and he's not about to jeopardise his dad's livelihood for the sake of a fling.

However, Adam's thrown when Ella claims he can't just pretend this never happened. She tells him to man up and lie to his mum that it's over, or end it properly and come clean. At Butlers, Adam lies to Moira that it's over and she believes him, but Adam's left hating the mess he's got himself into.

Meanwhile, Debbie reluctantly lets Alicia take Sarah shopping for a birthday present, but Alicia goes too far by getting Sarah's ears pierced. Debbie's furious and shouts the odds at Alicia when she spots the piercings.

Elsewhere, Hazel tries to make Aaron see that they should enjoy the time they have left with Jackson, and Paddy feels useless when a stressed-out Rhona worries that she's not in control of being a mother.
