Elsewhere, Masood and Yusef have an altercation leading Yusef to stir things up further by hinting of his relations with Zainab.

On EastEnders, Masood loses patience with Yusef and resorts to desperate measures later this month after the scheming doctor steps up his manipulation.

The Masoods' marriage hits rock bottom in the coming days and Yusef seizes on this in a discussion with his love rival, implying that he and Zainab are much closer than they actually are.

Masood cannot bear the thought that Yusef is comforting his wife throughout her problems and he later reaches the end of his tether when the sinister GP taunts him over Zainab for a second time.

Finally taking matters into his own hands, Masood follows his nemesis to the garage, threatens him and lets him know exactly what he thinks about his antics. But how far will Masood go to get rid of him?

30th May

Christian argues with Syed in the aftermath of the marriage proposal, accusing his partner of not wanting to cause fresh problems with Zainab. However, their row is interrupted when Tamwar tells them that Zainab has decided to throw Masood out. Syed goes straight over to the family home and finds a distraught Zainab packing up Masood's things and speaking about a possible divorce. At the same time, Yusef tells Afia about the latest developments with the Masoods' marriage. Masood spots this on the Square and when he gets Afia alone, he warns her that he'll kill Yusef if he goes near Zainab. Upset by his words, Afia goes over to the Masoods' and tells them about the threat.


Masood is staying at the B&B and soon receives a visit from Tamwar, who confronts him over the way he spoke to Afia and tells him to stay away. Later, Yusef pays a visit to Zainab and tries to comfort her. While there, he looks out of the window and sees Masood outside, so he draws the curtains. Taking his scheming a step further, Yusef goes upstairs, removes his tie and undoes the top buttons of his shirt before drawing the curtains, knowing that a furious Masood is watching…


Meanwhile, Mercy is unsure about whether to go through with the wedding, but Fatboy is keen to talk her round and confesses his love for her. This sparks fresh doubts for Mercy as she isn't sure whether she can marry Fatboy now that she knows his true feelings. However, when Fatboy declares that he'd rather join her in Nigeria than live at home without her, she agrees to go through with the wedding and the ceremony goes ahead at the register office.

Elsewhere, a distraught Dot considers joining Jim in the care home; Phil hopes to secure a job in Dubai but he's left angry and disappointed when Yusef fails to give him the all-clear in a health check; Syed tells Christian that he's changed his mind about the engagement, so Christian proposes again and Syed accepts; and Janine stirs things with Dot by making comments about her experience looking after Lydia.

31st May

Masood tries to pay a visit to the family home, but Tamwar blocks his entrance at the door and won't listen when his father tries to blame Yusef for everything. At the same time, Christian suggests to Syed that they should speak to Zainab about their adoption plans, but Syed doesn't think it's the right time. Later, Christian sees Masood at the café and tells him about the adoption, prompting an angry Masood to confront Zainab about why Syed is starting a family, as Yusef watches on. Zainab is shocked and soon asks Yusef whether he knew anything about it, but Yusef warns that Masood could just be making it up. Not long afterwards, Christian apologises to Syed for telling Masood but they soon face the consequences as they are confronted by an angry Zainab, who starts shouting at them.


Later, Yusef starts winding up Masood about Zainab, implying that they are much closer than they actually are. Yusef then heads to the garage to pick up his car, but Masood follows him and picks up a car jack to threaten his rival. At that moment, Phil arrives and he decides to join forces with Masood because he's also angry with Yusef. Convinced that Yusef has slept with Zainab, Masood raises his arm to hit him, but the blow never comes because Phil steps in by picking up a crowbar and ordering Yusef to get into the car…

Meanwhile, Fatboy's father Ashley meets him at the café and rebukes his son for ignoring his calls. However, it's clear that Fatboy is still angry with his dad for reporting Mercy to immigration. Fatboy arranges a lunch with Mercy and warns her that Ashley is back on the scene but doesn't know they're married. Later, Ashley sees Fatboy and Mercy in the pub and he's shocked when he hears Ryan refer to them as 'the happy couple'. Ashley soon informs a stunned Mercy that he was the one who reported her to the authorities.

Elsewhere, Jay tells Ricky about the work that Phil was offered in Dubai and suggests that he could go for it instead, and Phil is angry when he discovers that Shirley has hid a postcard that she's received from Ben.

2nd June

Phil starts grabbing items from around The Arches as the plan to punish Yusef gets under way, but Masood seems scared and out of his depth. Phil drives Masood and Yusef to a rundown warehouse, where nobody is around. At the same time, Zainab makes a phone call to Masood but can only get through to his answerphone, so she leaves a message telling her husband that she wants him to come home. Back at the warehouse, Yusef tries to make Masood see sense over what he's doing before attempting to make a run for it. However, it's not long before Yusef is back in the clutches of his captors.


Masood places a fake can of petrol in front of Yusef and refuses to listen as the scheming doctor insists that nothing has happened between him and Zainab. When Masood demands the truth about the fire once again, Yusef continues to insist that he tried to save Zainab. When Masood goads Yusef further, the GP's true feelings come out as he explodes with rage and confesses that he hates Masood and is furious to have lost Zainab as he spent the happiest days of his life with her. Will Masood go through with his threats and punish his rival?

Meanwhile, Mercy is shocked to realise that Fatboy knew about Ashley reporting her to immigration all along. When she meets up with Lauren at the café, Mercy tells her friend that Fatboy only married her because he felt guilty. However, Lauren still suspects that there are true feelings between the pair and points out that Mercy's reaction shows how much she cares. Heading back to the pub, Mercy catches up with Fatboy and he apologises for his dad's behaviour. The pair then put on a united front in front of Ashley, who remains unimpressed.

Elsewhere, Ricky has a meeting over the job in Dubai and it all seems to go well. However, it emerges that Ricky may have to start work next week and when Carol finds out about it, she warns him not to go.

Also today, Tamwar goes to visit Christian and Syed and tells them he's on their side and will vouch for them in their adoption process.

3rd June

Shirley is suspicious about where Phil was last night and heads over to The Arches to confront him. Ricky does some quick-thinking and covers for Phil, coming up with a story involving Alfie and Michael, but Shirley doesn't believe it. Soon afterwards, Phil discovers that Ricky has applied for the job in Dubai when he receives a phone call asking to provide a reference for his employee. Ricky explains his decision and wonders what Phil will say in the reference, and Phil declares that he hasn't decided what to tell them yet.


At the same time, Shirley tracks down Rainie and warns her to stay away from Phil. She also confronts Phil himself, threatening that she will leave him unless he sorts out his life and gets some help. Wanting to respect her wishes, Phil goes to a support meeting at the community centre. As the meeting gets underway, Rainie rushes in late. Could fresh trouble be looming for Phil with Rainie in close proximity?

Meanwhile, Roxy asks Alfie when she will be allowed back in The Vic and he explains that Kat isn't ready yet. When he mentions it to Kat later, she makes it clear that she's not ready to move on as the newspapers are still full of stories about the baby swap. Soon afterwards, Roxy issues an ultimatum to Michael about their relationship, making it clear that she won't wait for him forever. Making a decision, Michael tells Roxy that he wants to be with her and they head over to the pub to celebrate. Although Roxy isn't sure whether she'll be welcome, Kat holds back her anger and puts on a brave face as she serves drinks to the pair.

Elsewhere, Alfie's uncle Eddie is reading a newspaper and is surprised to stumble across the name of his nephew among the pages, while Lauren and Whitney agree to open a stall together to raise holiday money after Ryan gives them some financial help.
