there's a surprise new coupling ahead as Nikhil and Chas spend the night together.

Charity is responsible for setting the pair up as she asks Chas to go to the cinema with Nikhil, wanting him out of the house so she can have a romantic night in with Jai.

Much to Gennie's dismay, Chas agrees to the idea but the pair soon end up quitting their date for a night in of their own.

The next morning, Nikhil and Chas come down to breakfast after spending the night together and a confident Nikhil assures Jai and Charity that he knows what he's doing. However, a jealous Gennie is gutted when she hears that the pair slept together…

May 2nd

The factory girls tell Lisa that they'll be there to support her in court tomorrow, while in the pub, Cain upsets Zak when he asserts that Zak should have finished Derek off when he had the chance. Back at home, Zak takes his frustration out on Lisa, reminding her that if he had dealt with Derek when he had the chance he wouldn't have been able to rape the other woman and she wouldn't have to testify in court. However, Lisa asserts that tomorrow is her chance to put things right.

Zak tells Lisa that he just doesn't want her to suffer anymore, but Lisa feels hurt and confused and walks away. Later that evening, Lisa tells Zak that she has made up her mind and she doesn't want him in the courtroom tomorrow. When he questions what people will say, she tells him she doesn't care - she is doing this for herself and no-one else.

Meanwhile, Amy is pleased when David seems unimpressed as Alex flirts with her in the shop. Later in the pub with Victoria and Hannah, Amy is narked by David's public displays of affection with Leyla. Desperate to prove to her friends that there really is something going on between her and David, she shows them texts he has sent but takes them out of context and the girls really start to believe her tale.

Elsewhere, Kate agrees to see Nikhil again despite finding him boring, but Gennie is annoyed by her attitude and thinks she should have just been honest; Hazel and Aaron are pleased when Jackson agrees to go on holiday to Whitby with them; and Bob tries to make Jimmy see that he should give Kelly another chance.

May 3rd

Lisa is nervous as her day in court arrives. She enters the witness stand and as she prepares to recount the events leading up to her ordeal at the hands of Derek, she is thrown to see Zak arrive.

With Zak present, she struggles to stay focused and keep her head when being cross-examined by the defence barrister. Outside the court room, Zak is left devastated after Lisa confronts him, riled at how much harder it was with him there.

Meanwhile, with Charity keen to get him out of the house for some alone time with Jai, Nikhil invites Katie to the cinema. Setting the record straight, Katie checks that Nikhil doesn't think they are dating. Nikhil covers but there is clearly an awkward atmosphere. Watching on, Charity is gutted but Gennie is relieved.

Elsewhere, Aaron and Hazel work hard to ensure Jackson enjoys his holiday in Whitby.

May 4th

Debbie takes to the stand and is floored by the defence barrister's suggestion that Lisa didn't tell Zak the truth because sex with Derek was consensual. Called back into court to hear the verdict, Lisa tries to remain strong as the jury find Derek guilty of the other woman's rape but not of raping Lisa.

Arriving home, Lisa tells Zak the verdict and says that she wishes he'd done what she asked and stayed away from court yesterday - she went through the court case for him not for herself and he couldn't even be there for her properly. Zak is left bereft when Lisa walks off claiming she might be better off on her own from now on.

Meanwhile, Leyla is clearing out her wardrobe and when David finds a necklace she is getting rid of, he asks if she'd mind if he gave it to Amy as a thank you for all her hard work. Having been given the green light, David gives the necklace to Amy who instantly reads more into it and delights in showing it to Victoria and Hannah. However, all her dreams are dashed when Leyla comments on the necklace and her friends can't help but stifle a giggle.

Elsewhere, Charity persuades Chas to go to the cinema with Nikhil, wanting him out of the house so she and Jai can have a romantic night in. Much to Gennie's dismay, Chas agrees and Nikhil's surprised when Chas suggests they quit the date and have a night in instead.

May 5th 7-00pm

Leyla heads off to town, leaving David and Amy alone together. Hearing David arrange to meet Leyla, Amy pretends to be upset by a customer giving her an admiring glance and David offers to stay with her instead.

Amy and David's conversation gets quite deep and she convinces herself that he's giving her the come-on. She takes the plunge and moves in to kiss David, who's shocked and pushes her away. Amy then makes a fast exit, feeling heartbroken and humiliated.

Meanwhile, Lisa has spent the night at Debbie's following her row with Zak. When Zak sees Lisa later, he pleads with her - insisting that she's everything to him and he doesn't know what else to say. Lisa relents slightly and tells him that she'll move back in, but he has to sleep in the spare room and that's the best she can offer for now. Zak's happy but also more than aware that there's still a huge gulf between them.

Elsewhere, determined to ensure Jackson has the best time possible, Hazel convinces a fisherman to take her, Aaron and Jackson out to sea on a fishing trip; Gennie is gutted to realise Chas stayed over at Nikhil's; and Hannah is upset to see Alex flirting with Victoria.

8-00pm

A humiliated Amy returns to the B&B and starts packing her bags. At the same time, Leyla arrives home and is stunned when David tells her that Amy tried to kiss him. As Amy leaves the B&B, Victoria spots her and questions what's up. Amy lies that David tried it on with her, but she is leaving as no-one will believe her.

Later, Val and Pollard sense there's something wrong when David arrives asking to speak to Amy and they make him tell them exactly what's going on. David tells the truth, but Val is quick to question his story and when they discover Amy has done a runner, she makes it clear that if anything has happened to her she'll be holding him responsible. Worried for her foster daughter, Val asks Victoria if she knows anything and Victoria admits Amy told her David tried to take advantage of her. David can't believe what is happening as Val starts questioning his story.

Meanwhile, after the fishing trip, Hazel insists that Aaron tell her what he's been secretly organising. Aaron is reluctant but finally admits that he's booked a tandem jump out of a plane for Jackson, something he has wanted to do all his life. However, Hazel doesn't share Aaron's excitement and replies that there is no way on God's earth she is letting him fall from a plane.

Elsewhere, John is pleased when the supermarket give him a letter of intent guaranteeing his first order.

May 6th

Arriving at the air field, Aaron finally admits to Jackson that he has planned a skydive and Jackson is thrilled. Questioning if he'll be doing it with him, Aaron hides his anxiety and assures him that he'll be with him all the way. As the instructors explain everything to the boys, Jackson becomes aware that Aaron is petrified and Hazel is relieved to hear him say he can't put him through it anymore.

However, Hazel's relief is short-lived when Jackson claims he's still up for it. Up in the plane, Jackson is suddenly struck with nerves but when the instructor tells him they can go back down, he refuses. On the ground, Hazel and Aaron watch on as the parachute opens and Jackson is clearly loving it. Aaron and Hazel are made up to hear how much Jackson enjoyed himself and the banter starts as he takes every opportunity to remind Aaron that he chickened out.

Meanwhile, Pollard and Val spend the day trying to work out where Amy has gone but are gutted it's to no avail. David finds out half the village believe he tried it on with Amy and it becomes clear that Val blames him. When Val apologises to David for telling Pearl, he and Pollard realise just how worried she is for Amy's safety. Pollard asserts it's time the police were involved but Val insists otherwise - pointing out that if social services think they can't look after her properly, they'll take her away and Amy will never forgive them. Pollard agrees to leave it but only until tomorrow.

Elsewhere, Adam is uncomfortable when Ella assures him she will be on hand at his quad biking event tomorrow; Pearl and Dermot have a date; Alex kisses Victoria; and Lisa and Zak share a moment in the pub.
