March 28th

While out on a walk with Nicola, Jimmy's thrown to see Kelly leaving the village shop with a child. Aghast, Nicola questions her motives for coming back while Jimmy watches on in horror, pretending not to recognise her.

Landing back on Bob's doorstep, Kelly introduces him to her son, Elliot. Stunned by Kelly's bombshell, Bob asks how long they plan to stay but Kelly remains non-committal. Meeting up in secret, Kelly reveals to Jimmy that Elliot is his son…

Meanwhile, with Jackson's promise to give life another go, Hazel and Aaron are positive about the future again. With everything out in the open, Hazel asks Jackson to always be honest and announces she's asked Joe to arrange for Jackson to go for a drink with other people in his situation.

Elsewhere, Alicia and Andy share a kiss, while Cameron bails at the last minute on his date with Debbie.

March 29th

Debbie asks Cameron to move in, which he's quick to accept. Debbie fills Andy in on her news, expecting him to kick off. However, once he ensures Debbie trusts Cameron, he's satisfied.

Outside the garage, Debbie tells Cain that Cameron is moving in. Cain is displeased as he sees Cameron heading over with his bags and can't help but have a dig, but Cameron takes it in his stride.

Meanwhile, Jimmy tells Carl and Scarlett that he and Kelly have a son together. Scarlett's completely bemused, but Carl's sceptical and tells Jimmy that he needs to demand a paternity test. Later, Jimmy arrives at Tall Trees with Carl by his side. Kelly sympathetically explains that a paternity test was the first thing he asked for when they started meeting up again. She then shows him the results, which indicate that Jimmy is Elliot's father…

Elsewhere, Jacob's beside himself with excitement as Alicia signs for a parcel from Justin. Alicia gets wound up about not being able to match Justin's birthday gift. Later at the pub, Alicia invites Andy and Sarah to join them bowling for Jacob's birthday.

March 30th


Alicia's frustrated to have more financial pressure put upon her when Leyla tentatively questions when she'll be paying her rent. Soon afterwards, Jacob's getting increasingly excited about his birthday and, worried about her money woes, Alicia watches on in panic. Later, Jacob's in bed when Leyla and David are startled to hear a noise from the shop. Panicking, David refuses to go and investigate alone and they both grab something to defend themselves with.

In the shop, an unidentified person is loading cartons of cigs and bottles of booze into a hold-all, but they manage to escape before David and Leyla open the door. Realising no-one is there, the pair burst out laughing at their makeshift weapons, unaware that outside the shop the thief is making a call to sell on the goods. The street light glows to reveal it's Alicia…

Meanwhile, Chas is disheartened after a morning of viewing pubs in the area has proved unsuccessful. Later, Diane tells Marlon that Chas has the drive and determination to make the pub survive and, although she can't afford to lower the asking price, she admits there may be a solution after all.

Elsewhere, when Nicola confronts Kelly, the schemer insists only she's back in the village for Bob; Kelly wins Marlon over by lending a hand in decorating the nursery; and Jimmy's starting to believe Kelly's claims of their closeness.


March 31st 7pm

Rodney meets Kelly for a drink and asks who Elliot's father is. Kelly's unease becomes apparent and Rodney starts to piece things together. Under pressure, Kelly is forced to admit that Elliot is Jimmy's son.

When Nicola arrives at the pub, she's incensed to see Rodney so close to Kelly. Insisting they were just catching up, Rodney asks Nicola for a word in quiet but sensing an atmosphere, Nicola demands to know what's going on. Rodney is then forced to announce Jimmy has fathered Kelly's child.

Meanwhile, Alicia gives Jacob an expensive present but Leyla and David are bemused as to where the money has come from. Alicia claims that she's been saving for a while now, but Leyla and David don't seem convinced.

Elsewhere, Chas and Diane agree to go into partnership together; Belle railroads Leyla into giving her a paper round, lying about her age; and Paddy's uneasy at Marlon's eagerness to decorate his nursery.

8pm

As the truth comes out, Nicola is incredulous to have her fears confirmed and realises that Jimmy had been meeting Kelly behind her back. Jimmy's at a loss and can't answer any of her questions, but finding it too convenient, Nicola flies at Kelly before being shown the door by Chas.

Later, at Brook, Jimmy returns but Nicola refuses to talk to him and Rodney sends him packing. Jimmy turns back up at Tall Trees to see Kelly. He says that he doesn't know how he's going to be able to choose between his children, but Kelly claims that he was already planning to leave Nicola…

Meanwhile, following Jacob's birthday celebrations, Alicia and Andy start to relax in each other's company. When Alicia asks Andy whether he'd like to stay over, he's aware that she wants to take their relationship to the next level and agrees.

Elsewhere, Carl is furious to discover that Chas now has a position of power at the pub, while Dermot buys Brenda and Pearl drinks - and puts them on Declan's tab.

April 1st

Carl tells Nicola that he's on her side and begs her to fight for Jimmy, revealing that he doesn't trust Kelly. Spurred on by Carl's words, Nicola pays Kelly a visit and defiantly promises to stand by her man until the bitter end.

When Nicola leaves, Eve tells that Kelly she needs to show Nicola proof of her affair with Jimmy, but Kelly sheepishly admits that she made that bit up - she just wanted Jimmy back so desperately and couldn't admit nothing happened. Eve is sympathetic - all that means is that they'll have to try harder…

Meanwhile, when a lamb dies at Butlers, John realises he's struggling to cope running the farm without Adam. At the same time, Adam tells Moira about Declan's job offer. However, when he realises that his parents are struggling, he tells Declan he can't accept the job.

Elsewhere, Alicia's on edge as Leyla discovers stock is missing and starts asking questions; Zak and Lisa disagree over Belle's paper round job; and David wonders if Nikhil wants a running buddy.

Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson has admitted that her character Alicia Gallagher would expect to be forgiven by sister Leyla if her shock robbery was ever discovered.

Tonight's episode of the ITV1 soap sees Alicia steal expensive stock from Leyla's shop in order to raise funds for her adopted son Jacob's birthday present.

In an interview with Emmerdale's official website, Anderson explained that Alicia chooses to target her sister because she believes Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) would be understanding if the truth ever came to light.

Anderson commented: "The reason that she steals from Leyla is that, in her silly little mind, she thinks, 'She won't notice and I'll put it back anyway. And even if she did, she'll understand - she'll know that I'm doing it for Jake and not trying to be horrible to her.'

"So in a way, she feels like, because they're family, Leyla will be more understanding. It's a silly way to think about things, because at the end of the day you should never steal anyway, but from your own family is terrible. I think she's just thinking that Leyla will be more lenient."

Confirming that Alicia's desperate act will be uncovered at some point, she added: "I obviously can't tell you too much about how Leyla reacts, how David reacts, or how Andy reacts as well - because obviously there's the third part there that he has come into her life and there's the possibility of a future there. But who knows how he's going to react as well?"
