Tom Wlaschiha has dropped hints about his role on HBO's Game of Thrones.

The German star will appear in the second season of the fantasy drama as Jagen H'ghar, a magical assassin.

"He mainly interacts with Arya (Maisie Williams), the little Stark girl, and he is a teacher," Wlaschiha told TeenFirst.

"What I liked about that character is that at the beginning he appears as one of the bad guys, because he is introduced as an assassin. But he turns out to be more her teacher and helps her to kill off her enemies."

The Christopher and His Kind actor also described working on Game of Thrones as "a huge enterprise".

"It was a totally different type of production, but it was good fun," he said. "You had 200 extras on horses every day on location."

Natalie Dormer, Carice van Houten, Stephen Dillane, Liam Cunningham and Hannah Murray are among the other actors to have signed up for roles on Game of Thrones.

Dog Soldiers director Neil Marshall will helm an episode for the second season, as will The Pacific's David Nutter, Rubicon's Alik Sakharov and Boardwalk Empire's David Petrarca.

Game of Thrones will return to HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK later this year.

The Game Of Thrones season two premiere will be broadcast in the UK less than a day after it airs in the US.

Sky Atlantic has announced that, fresh from its success at the Golden Globes where Peter Dinklage won Best Supporting Actor, the series will return to the UK channel on Monday, April 2.

Although many of the original cast bowed out during the first series due to their characters being killed off, the 10-episode run sees the return of Emilia Clarke, Alfie Allen, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington and Dinklage, who also won an Emmy for his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister.

The fantasy series is based on George RR Martin's book series A Song Of Ice And Fire, and portrays a struggle for power in a vast and violent universe.

A spokesperson for the series said: "After the revelations at the end of season one, which hinted at the dangers lying beyond the great wall, it's set to be a season of exploration, danger and death this time round. The cold winds are rising across Westeros, as the bloody battle for the Iron Throne continues."

Dinklage hit the headlines for highlighting the case of injured dwarf actor Martin Henderson in his Golden Globes acceptance speech.

Alfie Allen has teased that the new season of Game of Thrones is "epic".

The actor, who plays Theon Greyjoy, refused to reveal too much information about what is coming up in future episodes.

However, Allen dropped some hints about what fans can expect when the show returns in April.

"I can tell you it's got a lot of dragons in it," he told E! Online. "It's got a lot of love and a lot of hate. But it's going to be epic."

Allen also hinted: "There's a scene in episode ten which I'm very excited to see."

New cast member Nonso Anozie has previously described the new season as "bigger", while another new star - Tom Wlaschiha - has revealed details of his character on the show.

Game of Thrones will return on April 1 on HBO in the US and on April 2 on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
