Like all of us I have received a number of phishing scams over the last few years. Mostly they are very boring telling me about inappropriate activity on bank accounts I don't have and that if I give my name, address, account no., pin number, security code number, inside leg measurement etc. it can all be sorted out.
However, today I received one which I think is possibly the funniest I have ever received. It purports to be from David Cameron and tells me that I have just had a £2,000,000 inheritance payment deposited in an ATM account and if I send off all the usual information to William Hague at the Foreign Office I will receive a card which will allow me to get at it. However, I have been warned not to contact anyone in the Government to see if the email is genuine because if I do I will not receive my payment. What the Foreign Office has to do with inheritance is not really explained.
Do these people honestly believe that anyone will fall for this nonsense?
