Coronation Street barmaid Tina McIntyre leaves Gary Windass and Izzy Armstrong devastated later this month as she tells them that she's keeping their baby son Jake.

Having grown increasingly attached to the new arrival, Tina (Michelle Keegan) comes to realise that she isn't prepared to give him up.

Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain) is the first to hear what Tina has planned as she confides in him about how she's feeling. Not wanting to jeopardise their recent reunion, Tommy promises that he'll stand by Tina if she wants to raise the baby herself.

When the doctors later announce that Jake has grown stronger and can be held for the first time, Gary (Mikey North) and Izzy (Cherylee Houston) excitedly head to the hospital. However, when they arrive, they're confused to find Tina already cradling the baby.

Realising that it's time to reveal her decision, Tina tells the couple that she wants to keep Jake as she feels like his mum, she has the law on her side, and she knows that she can give him a stable home.

Gary and Izzy are completely shellshocked and immediately vow to fight for Jake, but with Tina holding all the cards from a legal standpoint, has their dream of parenthood been cruelly crushed?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, June 10 at 7.30pm on ITV.

    Monday

Jake has grown stronger and can be held for the first time today, but when an excited Gary and Izzy arrive at the hospital, they're confused to find Tina cradling the baby.

Tina knows she has crossed the line, but overwhelmed with love for the child she carried, can a guilt-ridden Tina bring herself to give him up?

Meanwhile, when a grumpy Eileen falls asleep at work, she is forced to admit that she's in a mess as she can't sleep for worrying about Paul's job. Deirdre suggests she speaks to the doctor, but when she is prescribed sleeping pills, Eileen knows it's a short-term fix to a long-term problem. What is she going to do?

Elsewhere, as Dev starts to question if Sunita was even capable of starting the Rovers fire after getting so drunk at the Bistro, Karl is agitated. He knows that Dev's theories are spiralling out of control, but what can he do to silence him?

Also, an emotional Maria admits to Marcus that she can't stop thinking about him saying he's still gay. Marcus insists that it shouldn't matter as it's her he loves, but can Maria deal with his admission?

Finally, Tracy gets a job cold calling as she and Rob try to prove they're bouncing back.

As they reel from Tina's bombshell, Izzy and Gary's shock turns to anger, asserting that biologically Jake is their baby. Hating herself, Tina stands by her words - she feels like Jake's mum, the law says she is, and she and Tommy can offer him a stable home.

A devastated Izzy immediately vows to fight Tina. As the pressure mounts, will Tina back down?

Meanwhile, Paul has saved a child's life at work, but lies about his heroics for Eileen's sake. However, when he discovers that Eileen is now on sleeping pills to help her deal with her fears, he admits that they can't go on like this. Eileen is alarmed - what does this mean for their relationship?

Elsewhere, Karl urges Dev to drop his fruitless quest to prove Sunita's innocence as people are starting to question his mental health. Will Dev decide it's time to stop his crusade?

Also, a vulnerable Marcus and Maria have a heart-to-heart - can they save their relationship?

Finally, Tracy vows to prove herself to Carla and Peter as she starts her new job cold calling.

    Wednesday

Tina tries to bury her guilt as Gary and Izzy plead with her to reconsider. With Tommy by her side, Tina stands firm.

Later, the Windasses and Armstrongs begin their assault, vowing to fight through the courts and turfing Tina out of Owen's flat. Will Tina waiver?

Meanwhile, as Dev questions Stella about the night of the fire, she reminds him that the Rovers keys were found in Sunita's things. Seizing on this, Dev wonders if someone planted the keys after the hospital gave him an inventory of her possessions when she was admitted. Karl is terrified as Dev edges ever closer to the truth.

Elsewhere, when a reporter tips up on Eileen and Paul's doorstep with the boy Paul saved and his mum, it's news to Eileen. She is shocked to hear about the dangerous fire, but she's touched by Paul's heroism. Will Eileen be able to put aside her fears and support her man?

Also today, Kylie resolves to do something nice for David as a thank you for his support during her pregnancy.

Finally, Rob gets a new job.

    Friday

Dev's relentless digging is taking its toll on Karl. When Dev reveals that he has asked the police to look at the CCTV footage from the hospital to see if anyone had access to Sunita's room, it's the last thing Karl needs to hear. Will the police agree to re-open the case?

Back at the Alahans', Karl is rattled, knowing that he needs to put an end to this before it's too late. As Dev opens up to Karl, he picks up a golf trophy and positions himself behind Dev. Is Karl about to silence Dev for good?

Meanwhile, as homeless Tina moves into Rita and Dennis's flat, Gary urges Tommy to talk to Tina. Tommy stands by Tina's decision, but alone with Rita, he admits that he has doubts.

Later, in a bid to prove to the courts that they can offer the most stable home, Izzy invites Gary to move back in. What does this mean for Izzy and Gary as a couple?

Elsewhere, when Kylie realises that she can't afford to book a stay in a cottage, Nick offers to chip in. But as David watches their furtive conversation, will it arouse suspicion?

Also, Eileen vows to sort herself out so that she can be proud of Paul's job and not fearful.

As Karl stands behind Dev, sick at the thought of what he's about to do, he implores Dev to stop raking over the past as it will only result in more pain.

Desperate, Karl begs Dev to think of the effect on Aadi and Asha. Will Dev back down, or will Karl feel forced to strike?

Meanwhile, in the pub, Tommy has a tough time defending Tina's actions. Arriving by his side, Tina is desperate to offer Izzy and Gary an olive branch and insists they can see 'Joe' when he's out of hospital. Reeling from the name change and token gesture, a row threatens.

Elsewhere, when David catches Kylie stuffing some paperwork in her bag and then she denies having seen Nick earlier, David's suspicions are inflamed.

Also, Eileen seeks professional help as she vows to keep her promises to Paul.

Coronation Street's Tina McIntyre faces a furious reaction in tonight's double bill (June 10) after she announces her shocking plan to keep baby Jake.

When Tina (Michelle Keegan) holds Jake for the first time, it strengthens her love for the youngster even further. Afterwards, she braces herself for a backlash and tells Gary (Mikey North) and Izzy (Cherylee Houston) that she won't be handing over their child.

Although a heartbroken Gary and Izzy hope that Tina is just getting cold feet, she shows how serious she is by banning them from having any further contact with Jake.

Later, back on the cobbles, all hell breaks loose as Gary and Izzy angrily confront Tina and Tommy. Will Tina stand by her controversial decision?

Coronation Street barmaid Tina McIntyre is forced to face the consequences of her controversial baby decision in tonight's episode (June 12).

As Tina (Michelle Keegan) stands firm with her refusal to hand over Gary and Izzy's baby son, the Windass-Armstrong clan decide that it's time to take action against her.

Informed that Tina's stable home life would work in her favour should the case go to court, Owen (Ian Puleston-Davies) takes the drastic step of kicking her out of his flat.

Tina urges the family to reconsider, but they make it clear that this is just the beginning of their fight for Jake. Will Tina live to regret her decision?
