SMITTEN Nick Tilsley proposes to pregnant girlfriend Natasha Blakeman in front of the entire factory.

But, as our picture shows, Natasha is stunned – and so is her pal Fiz Brown who knows all about her baby lie.

Troubled Nat is so desperate to hold on to the hunk she has spent weeks pretending to be carrying Nick’s baby despite having a termination.

So when Fiz finally convinces her she must come clean, she is caught off guard by Nick’s romantic gesture.

And with such a public proposal she has no choice but to agree to marry him.

A Weatherfield source told us: “Fiz has known about Natasha’s secret for some weeks and she convinces her that she must speak to Nick sooner rather than later.

“Natasha was hoping to get pregnant without Nick finding out she’d had a termination but as the weeks have gone by there is just no way she is going to be able to pull it off.

“Fiz finally makes her see sense and Natasha prepares herself to tell Nick the truth.

“But as soon as the girls return to the factory, Nick gets down on one knee and declares his love for her – and their unborn baby.

“Natasha is in bits. But instead of revealing all about what she is up to she prolongs the agony. Fiz can’t believe it.

“She knows that by accepting the proposal Natasha is just making things even worse for herself and making Nick look like a complete idiot.

“It’s only going to be a matter of time before it all comes out and you can bet it’s not going to be pretty.”

Fans of the hit ITV1 soap will be able to watch all the drama as Nick proposes to Natasha a week tomorrow.

Nick proposes to Natasha

Natasha goes to the doctors and flees upset when he calmly points out that it may take some time for her to conceive. Fiz finds her outside the doctors and tells her that she is going to have to tell Nick the truth as it's making her ill.

Natasha heads into the factory with Fiz, ready to confess all - but an oblivious Nick has other plans. As Nick asks Natasha to marry him, her desire to come clean is thwarted.

Meanwhile, Steve knows he has to appeal to Kylie - sure that she will go through with her threat to leave and take Max away forever. He offers to put everything behind them if she promises not to ruin what they have now as a family.

Elsewhere, Eileen vows to make Owen pay for the way he treats people; Sian and Sophie are forced to work long hours at a B&B to survive away from Weatherfield; Graeme and Tina flood Rita's flat; and Sean is stunned when Owen threatens him for grassing him up to Eileen.


Gail discovers Natasha's secret
Airs on Monday, September 20 2010 20:30 BST on ITV1

A stunned Natasha accepts Nick's proposal and they head over to The Rovers to celebrate. Gail walks into the party and is concerned to hear of the engagement.

Later, as Gail heads home, she decides to pay a call to the medical centre and take a look at Natasha's records, which contain the shocking truth about her baby.

Meanwhile, Owen asks Liz to have a drink with him at The Rovers and assures her that there's no problem between him and Eileen. Liz agrees, but when Eileen turns up, Owen takes a call from the police, who tell him that the alarm is going off at the yard. He throws Eileen the keys and asks her to investigate. Put out, she heads to the yard. After sorting the alarm, Eileen is about to leave when she spots the petty cash box...

Elsewhere, Gary keeps a wide berth from Kylie after deciding she is nothing but trouble, the staff at The Rovers are annoyed at new security measures put in place for the till; Sophie and Sian doss down in a crowded house; and Norris calls someone to fix the laptop which has been damaged by the flood.


Nick and Natasha's worlds fall apart
Airs on Thursday, September 23 2010 20:30 BST on ITV1

Not knowing what to do about Natasha's secret, Gail hasn't slept. She eventually decides to confront Natasha, who confirms everything but begs Gail to let her tell Nick.

Later, when Gail arrives at the house and discovers that Natasha is doing anything but tell Nick, she blurts out the whole story. Nick tries to throw Gail out - but will Natasha confirm Gail is telling the truth?

Meanwhile, with Sian out at work, one of the blokes from the student house makes a pass at a shocked Sophie. Upset, she seeks out Sian and tells her what happened. Sian can see her resolve is breaking and urges her to be strong. But Sophie sneaks to a phone box and calls Rosie.

Elsewhere, an idea forms for Eileen when she spots how lax Owen is with the book-keeping and his company cheque book; and Ciaran reveals that he has a job interview in Scotland.


Natasha makes a suicide attempt
Airs on Friday, September 24 2010 19:30 BST on ITV1

A devastated Natasha tries to explain to a stunned Nick why she did what she did. When she brings Leanne into the conversation, Nick lashes out and confirms his feelings for Leanne, leaving Natasha a broken woman.

As she is vilified by the rest of Nick's family, Natasha flees to the flat. Later, Nick finds her unconscious there with an empty bottle of pills.

Meanwhile, Rosie enlists Jason's help, and borrowing her dad's car, they head to Cumbria to bring Sophie and Sian home. When they arrive back in Weatherfield, a relieved Sally and Kevin are just grateful to have them home - all arguments are forgotten for now.

Elsewhere, Ciaran wants to practise his recipes for his job interview, but Betty is having none of it.


Leanne supports Nick through his ordeal
Airs on Friday, September 24 2010 20:30 BST on ITV1

Natasha is rushed to hospital and it's touch and go as Nick waits in the relatives' room with Leanne, who has accompanied them in the ambulance after seeing how distraught Nick was.

Nick tells Leanne the whole story, and it reminds them both of her abortion. Nick clings to Leanne's friendship as he waits to see if Natasha will pull through.

Meanwhile, as the Websters listen to the girls' story of the nightmare at the student digs, the real reason they ran away isn't discussed until Sian's dad arrives and starts to berate his daughter. Desperate not to be parted from Sophie, Sian blurts out the truth. When Sian's dad lays into Sophie and accuses her of leading his daughter astray, Sally steps in and asks him to go. But is Sally really any more comfortable with the truth than Sian's dad?

Elsewhere, Michelle is devastated that Ciaran is leaving, but will she take Liz's advice and tell him how she really feels?
