Or will he take drastic action?

When Michael tells Kate that she should stick with dancing while she’s young and fit, Kate decides to give up teaching. Paul claims not to be worried by Andrew leaving home but the reality is he doesn’t know how to deal with it without making things worse. Andrew meanwhile stays the night at Summer’s, causing trouble for her and Lyn and making Natasha feel second best – again. Rebecca and Donna work hard to get Paul and Andrew to talk but is it too late to heal the rift between father and son?

When Libby discovers she’s not the front-runner for the role of Godmother to Steph’s baby, she launches a comical campaign to push herself forward. Realising what she’s angling for, Steph and Toadie agree it’s too awkward to have Libby as Godmother and attempt to play dumb. It’s a hard act to keep up when Libby throws subtlety out the window.

    Episode 5968
    Wednesday 1st September 2010

Under instruction from Paul to make sure Natasha doesn’t cause trouble, Andrew convinces Natasha to back down. But when Andrew gets what he wants and continues to ignore her, Natasha lashes out at him. Lucas clocks Andrew’s mood and assumes it’s a lovers’ tiff about Donna and unintentionally reveals Andrew made a play for Donna. This is news to Natasha and the last straw in her failing relationship. After an explosive confrontation between the two, Summer’s forced to reconsider where her loyalties lie.

Michael and Libby put their differences aside to celebrate Kate’s teaching success with a night out at Charlie’s. It’s painfully obvious Libby and Michael can’t stand each other but Lucas pushes Michael to make an effort, promising Libby’s good fun once she loosens up. The night leads to a revelation for Michael about Libby, but will it continue in the cold light of the day?

    Episode 5969
    Thursday 2nd September 2010

Rebecca gears up for the big show at Charlie’s but Diana blocks her by evoking a clause in her lease prohibiting live music without Lassiters’ prior permission. A compromise is reached and it looks like the gig will go ahead – until Rebecca discovers she doesn’t have the required number of bouncers because Diana has cut Lassiters’ security contract by half. Rebecca accuses Diana of sabotage but she claims she was genuinely trying to cut costs and not hurt Charlie’s. Rebecca tries to organise alternative security but finds everything is booked out and faces letting down her patrons and a huge financial cost. Declan points out to Diana the error of her ways, leading her to offer a suggestion of help. The only problem is it’s illegal and could end up losing Rebecca her license. How far will she go to keep the financial pressure off Paul and her family?

Summer convinces Natasha to get back at Andrew by attacking his ego. Natasha is reluctant to go public with her amazing Mathlete skills but Summer convinces her to use her brains for good, and together they give Andrew a public shaming. But Natasha learns that revenge isn’t as sweet as she might hope when her plan backfires and Andrew exposes her inner nerd. Michael makes Andrew see how much he’s hurt Natasha, but will he be able to make it up to her?

    Episode 5970
    Friday 3rd September 2010

Quick-thinking Declan manages to find a way to ensure the gig at Charlie’s goes ahead legally. Rebecca’s relieved but Paul wishes he could feel the same. With Diana still sniffing into his business affairs and now beginning to befriend his wife, Paul can see the sharks circling. When he learns Diana intends to meet with Toadie, Paul seeks reassurance that Toadie won’t stitch him up, but Toadie refuses to play by Paul’s rules. Desperate Paul threatens Toadie but, with nothing to hold over him, Paul’s powerless… until he stumbles upon some dangerous information.

Though torn over whether she should have tried harder to get through to Dan, Steph does her best to bury her concerns while Libby helps her plan all the last-minute things for her baby. But when Libby expresses her regret that Ben never got to know his father, Steph decides she has to tell Dan the truth and makes a phonecall that could land her in hot water.
