KIND-hearted soap stars staged a Corrie's Got Talent night to raise cash for a cancer-stricken girl.

Shobna Gulati, who plays shopgirl Sunita Alahan, organised the three-hour variety gala to help send five-year-old Maddi Allan to Disneyland.

Sexy Shobna donned a dress split to the thigh to belt out a Shirley Bassey number.

Malcolm Hebden (busybody Norris Cole) put on a magic show while Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow) and Steve Huison (Eddie Windass) appeared as slapstick East European duo The Cheztikov Brothers.

Ben Thompson (Ryan Connor) sang the Beatles classic All You Need Is Love.

Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) crooned Eva Cassidy's Fields of Gold.

A total of 12 stars performed for free in front of a sell-out 300-strong audience at Blackburn's Thwaites Theatre.

Shobna, said: "Peter Shaw, a first assistant director on the Street, was instrumental in putting the show together.

"I really could not believe how many of the cast volunteered."

Maddi, of Darwen, Lancs, is battling a rare cancer that affects nerve cells.
