    They said it was amicable... It is quiet sad considering she stuck with him even when he was unfaithful to her years ago. I read her book, it was really really good and she only speaks highly of him

    Dawn French has revealed that Lenny Henry and herself are "the best of friends".

    The couple, who announced their decision to split in April after 25 years of marriage, are currently believed to be finalising their divorce.

    French told Radio Times: “Remarkably, we seem to have shifted with relative ease from a 25-year marriage to a lasting friendship.

    “I am amazed by us - there is no war, we have turned out to be the best of friends.”

    The pair, who cite "irreconcilable differences" in the divorce papers, still speak to each other over the phone twice a day, reports The Sun.

    A spokesman said: "The filing of the divorce papers is neither acrimonious nor unilateral. Both parties have agreed the terms without dispute."
