yeah probably our only agreement on this.. As a role model and especially as a racing driver, he should set a better example... for argument sake, if this was an ordinary joe soap, would a caution also be ok for him?

No because the ordinary Joe Soap would not know what to do if his showing off went wrong. However that said what happened was not the most serious motoring transgression. A professional driver does his showing off in a controlled manner and is aware of his limitations.

I was taught to drive within my limitations and the limitations of my car bearing in mind traffic conditions and other road users.

Lewis surely deseves to be punished for not spotting the police car

At least Lewis put his hands up and admitted he was wrong unlike some of our other so-called celebs who use their riches to buy some smartass lawyer to get them off on a technicalty.

Funny thats not how I read it. Lewis started off at the back of the grid and had overtaken 8 cars on the first lap and finished a very credible sixth

He had a good run at the start.. yes he over took 8 cars, 6 of them newbies and then there was many who retired... Massa did just as well to come from 21st to 7th... was he mentioned as been a fantastic driver on the good old BBC?? I think not!
