Robert Daws has landed a role in Coronation Street.
The actor, who stars as Dr Gordon Ormerod in The Royal, will join the soap in the next few weeks.
According to PA, he will play a lawyer representing Gail McIntyre (Helen Worth) while she is in prison.
A spokesperson for the show said: "He will appear in the next couple of weeks or so on an episode by episode basis."
