Adam Woodyatt has organised a fun day to raise money for earthquake survivors in Haiti.

Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale in EastEnders, told BBC News that 40 soap stars have agreed to appear at the event in Coventry.

The city's Ricoh Arena has donated the use of its exhibition hall and will host actors from EastEnders, Hollyoaks, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

The fun day will also boast local bands and a funfair.

"Just looking at the footage, I saw on the news - we all saw it - and it just stirred something up in me," Woodyatt explained.

"I floated the idea to people, 'Well, how about if we did a celebrity meet and greet' and it just snowballed from that and it's turned into a fun day. We've got a funfair, a stage, lots of bands and acts - lots of local ones around here."

The event will be held on February 28.

Well done
