Leslie Ash leaving Holby City

She only seems to have been there for a few weeks but Leslie Ash is already leaving Holby...

Her character, chief executive Vanessa Lytton, will disappear from the popular medical drama next March when she gets a promotion.

It means Leslie will only have spent five months on the show.

Getting the role back in October sparked controversy because the actress had previously accepted a £5million payout from London's Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, claiming she could no longer work after contracting superbug MSSA.

Questioned about it at the time she declared she had no intention of paying any of it back - because it covered her "loss of earnings".

So, has she been axed? Apparently not. My man in scrubs reveals: "She's taking a few months off but will be back before the end of the year for another stint. Vanessa returns to sort out a major crisis."

What a lot of coming and going...

She has been absolutely CRAP in Holby. Her character is as unbelievable as her acting is poor. She should have spent some of her compo on acting lessons. I hope when she leaves that she doesnt come back

I think the work schedule has been too much her after being out of acting for so long. Maybe she should take roles in one of dramas first to ease back into before she commits to long term contracts.
