It was a skin infection so no surgery thank goodness. Vet put a cone thing around her but she took it off in minutes. Given up trying to put it back on and ordered something called a pet tshirt that should do the trick. Got to gve her antibiotics which is tricky as she does not like wet food just likes the cravy on it.
Anyway just glad its not serious. I had to try hard not to bring another extra cat home. I so love them but my husband says one is enough.

Brilliant news!!! I know it is difficult to give pets medicine but I manage to open their mouths with one hand and put the pill right down the back of their mouths and hope they swallow it... have you tried hiding the pill in a bit of tuna? Most cats love it and if the pill is small you might be lucky that she does not spit it out Hope you manage it somehow anyway ... give hubby some time, you might be able to adopt another kitty at some time
I have managed to mix it with a small amount of food after crushing them and giving it with treats on it. So far so good.
So sorry to hear that When I have a bad cold which is usually always with a bad sinus infection, I eat loads of fresh garlic, like fresh garlic on toast ... I love it and when I have a bad cold, I don´t want anyone close to me anyway Also honey, cinnamon and a splash of lemon in hot water several times a day makes me feel much better within days. Also honey, lemon juice and coconut oil in warm water is a natural cough syrup, coconut oil is anti bacterial and anti viral, maybe give that a go too and boost your immune system that way. Hope you feel better soon
Honey and Lemon Cough Syrup with Coconut Oil
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup local raw honey
2 tablespoons coconut oil
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together in a small saucepan and heat over low until coconut oil is melted.
Take warm syrup by the spoonful as desired. You can also mix the syrup into hot water or tea.
Once the syrup is cooled the coconut oil will harden.
Store in refrigerator for up to a month. Gently warm the syrup up before using.
