My brothers just flown in from Kuwait to watch Anthony Joshua box at Wembley. I had never heard of him until yesterday and now he seems to be all over the papers.

Sorry, just caught up with this. It's always exciting to find someone famous in your Family Tree. I have been at this Family History research lark for about 40 years now! As some of you know I have discovered I am related to Barbara Windsor and Peter Sellers and even the Queen (she is the niece of the wife of the 3rd cousin twice removed of the husband of the wife of the great grandson of the wife of my first cousin five times removed. So pretty close really!)

I also discovered that my great great great grandfather fought at Waterloo and I received invitations to all the celebrations going on both there and at St Paul's a couple of years ago plus a commemorative medal.

I have used a few sites but I find Ancestry.com (or Ancestry.co.uk) the best, though the Mormon site is very good as well.

That is funny the Queen connection! Sounds like how my mum explains how i am related to someone.

By the way, if you follow my relationship carefully I should add that the "great grandson of the wife of my first cousin five times removed" is Peter Sellers....

Well my job interview for a Receptionist at a local boating marina didn't happen. However, there is ( I hope ) a job opportunity at a local village store. My job adviser is contacting the manager asap. I now wait with bated breath for an interview.

On Friday my friend had a hysterectomy because of cervical cancer. On the other side of the same hospital her husband was having chemotherapy for bowel cancer. Their children are young adults.
The 20 year old daughter was with mum and 21 year old son with dad all that day. The son was panicking as the chemotherapy time got changed 4 times on the same day. Friends are now rallying round so things should be easier
