Kat and alfie to leave?

EXCUSE ME! since when was this craziness taking place? Alfie to leave? Kat is going? WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? Why do the eastenders script writers feel the need to just boot off all the best characters? It's ridiculous. I'm sorry but kat and alfie are the only reason i watch eastenders, aside from maybe gary and minty who i hear are also leaving! FIX UP EE!

If Shane Richie does leave for good, it's his own decision and the script writers can't help that. The character hasn't been axed.
