I think it sounds perfect - I hate all these big stories for Christmas, we usually know about them before hand so whats the point of watching, I rather it goes along as normal.

    Detailed spoilers

    Tina's furious by Jason's admission

Airs on Monday, December 21 2009 at 19:30 GMT on ITV1

Joe tells Tina that he and Gail have finally set a wedding date. Tina's jealous when Jason starts to wonder if Sarah will to turn up and begins questioning if he still has feelings for her.

Later, Tina's angry when he finally confesses that he and Sarah are not divorced, despite letting Tina believe that they were. David watches with delight as the couple row in the Street.

Meanwhile, Sally and Kevin return from Paris and Molly demands to know where they've been and why Kevin didn't tell her before he went.

Kevin, however, is distracted by Sophie's predicament - as she's just discovered that Ben made a pass at Michelle. Yet again, Molly finds herself sidelined for Kevin's family.

Deirdre begs Peter to spend Christmas with them for Simon's sake. Peter, however, is still too angry with Ken to consider it but eventually agrees, saying that they'll only attend if George, Eve and Janice can be there. Ken's not best pleased but Deirdre's delighted and happily agrees.

With Christmas approaching, Ashley realises that he can't commit to the panto and pulls out. Becky and Claire bully Steve into taking the part of Prince Charming.

Tina kisses Nick Tilsley in a bar

Airs on Monday, December 21 2009 at 20:30 GMT on ITV1

A drunken Tina is determined to track down Jason and attempts to start his van. David, however, has spotted what she's up to and grabs the keys off her, despite being injured and receiving a mouthful of abuse for his troubles!

Even though she's unable to drive the van, Tina makes her way into town and finds herself in a city centre bar. It's not long before she's being chatted up by a handsome stranger, who introduces himself as Nick.

Nick goes on to explain that he's in town after being summonsed by his gran in the hope of stopping his mum marrying a loser! There's an immediate spark between the pair and they share a kiss - but would Tina be getting quite so close if she knew the true identity of her suitor?

Meanwhile, the dress rehearsals for the panto take place and Becky's not best pleased with the scene where Steve has to kiss Claire. With the air about to turn sour, Steve manages to silence his jealous wife, who cuts quite a dash as a glamorous Dandini!

Elsewhere, Sophie's baptism takes place and she's touched when Sian says that she'll be her baptism partner after what happened with Ben.

The ceremony's moving for all concerned and afterwards, a happy Webster clan head home for the party. Sally proudly shows the photos on the TV screen and as she does, Molly's stunned when she spots a snap of Sally and Kevin kissing in Paris!

Gail's delighted when Nick returns home

Airs on Thursday, December 24 2009 at 20:30 GMT on ITV1

It's Christmas Eve and Rosie's excitedly unwrapping her birthday presents. Sophie's impressed by what she sees and hopes that her presents will be as good as her sister's.

Kevin, meanwhile, s worried about Molly, while no one notices that Sally seems a little preoccupied. Still furious at Kevin for going to Paris with Sally, Molly tells him that it's over between them.

Meanwhile, Tina's feeling guilty after snogging Nick and when Jason apologises about for their argument the previous day, she readily accepts and says sorry, too.

There is a dodgy moment, though, when Jason asks David how he hurt his arm but David covers for Tina, claiming that he sprained it. Tina's grateful for his discretion and it's clear that there's a thaw in their relationship.

Nick arrives at the Platts' and Gail's delighted to have her prodigal son home for the festive period. David, however, is certainly not best pleased to see him.

Over at The Rovers, the regulars have gathered for the fourth panto and with the last one being over 20 years ago, nobody knows quite what to expect - perhaps with the exception of Betty, who's had a starring role in more than one production!

As the curtain goes up, the scene is set by John Stape and Cinderella begins. It goes like a dream, with few minor hitches - until Amy takes to the stage to sing her song at the ball.

When she forgets her lines, she remembers one very choice word that she's obviously heard Becky utter on more than one occasion!

Kevin's stunned by Sally's shock revelation

Airs on Friday, December 25 2009 at 19:00 GMT on ITV1

    One-hour episode

At the Websters', Kevin's distracted, while Sally, Rosie and Sophie excitedly open their presents. He's desperate to see Molly who's across the Street trying to drum up enthusiasm after opening Tyrone's extra special gift for her - a karaoke machine.

Unable to wait any longer, Kevin makes an excuse to leave the house and a shocked Molly sees him in the back yard of her house. Furious, she steps outside on the premise of taking some rubbish out and slaps him across the face. Kevin, however, won't take no for an answer and insists that he can't wait any longer - he wants to be with her forever and he wants them to tell their families today!

Molly's stunned but swept away by the danger and romance of the situation, she agrees and the clandestine lovers return to their partners to break the devastating news to them.

However, when Kevin returns home and finally convinces Sally to take a break from her Christmas dinner preparation, she breaks down and stuns him with some devastating news of her own - she has breast cancer.

As a shell-shocked Kevin struggles to take the news in, he realises that he has to get to Molly before she tells Tyrone everything. But will he make it in time?

Meanwhile, completely unaware of the drama unfolding across the Street, the Barlows try to enjoy Christmas with extended family for Simon's sake. He's thrilled with his bike from granddad Ken, but when granddad George turns up with a games console, Ken finds himself - and his gift - sidelined. Will the warring grandparents be able to keep the peace?

There's no shortage of drama and tension at the Platts', either. When Tina and Jason turn up for Christmas dinner, Tina's stunned to be greeted by the handsome stranger she kissed earlier in the week - and she's stunned to realise his relation to the family.

After an uncomfortable dinner, Tina makes her excuses and heads home, leaving David wondering what exactly is going on.

Elsewhere at the Rovers, Steve and Becky enjoy their first Christmas together as a family and as Steve watches Becky with Amy, he can't help but wonder if the time has come to give Amy a brother or sister. But how will Becky feel about her husband's idea?

Coronation Street veteran Betty Driver has admitted that filming for the soap's forthcoming pantomime scenes was like a trip down memory lane.

On Christmas Eve, viewers will see the actress's character Betty Williams teaming up with Weatherfield favourites like Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly) and Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) for a production of Cinderella in the Rovers.

Barmaid Betty also took to the stage for a version of Cinderella at the pub back in 1975, appearing alongside classic characters Bet Lynch (Julie Goodyear) and Mavis Riley (Thelma Barlow) among others. Like this year, she starred as the Fairy Godmother in the show.

Speaking about the upcoming festive scenes in an interview with The Mirror, Driver revealed: "It took me back to when we did Cinderella in 1975. Mind you, I think my dress was a lot nicer this time around. It was fabulous with a gold bodice, a tiara and a magic wand.

"Last time I looked a swine. The dress was all white and very virginal. This time I got a throne to sit on too and they threw sparkle all over me - I was finding it in all sorts of peculiar places afterwards.

"We did it in the Rovers, so it was quite a tight squeeze. But the young ones in the show are such a great bunch and we all have such a good time. We gel as a group and they treat me just like I am their age, which I love."

Reflecting on the Rovers' 1975 panto, the 89-year-old added: "Lots of people were in it - Annie Walker, Bet Lynch, Mavis, Deirdre Barlow, Alf Roberts and Albert Tatlock. Filming brought back lots of memories. I miss them all."

Meanwhile, Driver also confirmed that she "definitely" expects to still be in the programme next Christmas.

Isn't she in her 90s? She looks amazing for her age.
