Barbara Windsor is giving up her role as landlady of the Queen Vic because 'nothing can carry on forever'.
She's clearly forgotten that the Carry On films did indeed carry on forever.
The catch facing scriptwriters is how to say bye-bye to Babs. Do they allow her a dignified exit, which would allow her to return at a later date, or do they kill her off?
Babs is 9-4 to be killed off and 1-3 to leave alive, which is no one's idea of good drama.
