Ex Casualty and Deadenders Star for The Bill

FORMER Strictly babe Sarah Manners has joined The Bill, TV Biz can reveal.
The actress, who used to play Bex Reynolds in BBC1's Casualty, will become Sun Hill's feisty new area car driver.

Her character Kirsty Knight gets thrown in at the deep end when Sgt Callum Stone (Sam Callis) is caught up in a scrap.

Sara researched her cop role by shadowing real-life officer pals on the beat.

Producer Tim Key said: "Kirsty is a lively addition to the team. She has an irreverent sense of humour and a love of the adrenaline-fuelled side of the job."

The former EastEnders and Doctors actress is in the ITV1 show from February.

She finished sixth in Strictly with partner Brendan Cole in 2004.

I liked her in Casualty but seriously, what's the point in bringing her in as an area car driver? Surely a CID position is more appropriate given the current direction of the show.
