Old Casualty Character to Return

Ireland's Evening Herald newspaper online has revealed that original cast member Brenda Fricker is set to make a return to CASUALTY next year.

Brenda played SEN Megan Roach in the first five series of the show and made a guest appearance at Charlie & Baz's wedding in 2008 and more recently in 2007's Comic Relief Special episode. She is set to appear in a number of episodes next year however it will be a short return for Brenda, as Megan is set to meet her maker.

She told the newspaper, 'I loved CASUALTY, it was great. I'm back next year for four episodes. I die. I don't know if I should be telling you that, but yes, I die.'

Fans on holby.tv have received the news with a mixed response. Thrilled to see the return of such a nostalgic character but concerns over her character being brought back only to be killed off, reminiscent of Baz's (Julia Watson) death back in Series 18 which failed to do justice.

Yeah I don't get it.
I liked her character, but what's the point in bringing her back to kill her ??
Maybe it's like a story where she just happens to be in an acident with other people.. Charlie's the only one that will know her though!

I only remember her because of all those repeats on UK Gold when I was a bit younger! Totally pointless in my opinion though.
