Coronation Street has announced the return of Imran Habeeb's ex-wife Sabeen as part of a tension-filled upcoming storyline.

The long-running ITV soap revealed the comeback in a what's-to-come tease recently, in which it explained that Imran (Charlie de Melo) will be torn between his current partner Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and former spouse Sabeen ? who Digital Spy can confirm will now be played by Unforgotten's Zora Bishop.

Originally portrayed by Avita Jay during a brief stint onscreen in August 2018, barrister Sabeen will test Imran's abilities as a solicitor, going toe-to-toe with him in his fight to protect foster daughter Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) as she stands trial for Seb Franklin's murder alongside Corey Brent (Maximus Evans).

Elsewhere, Nina Lucas, who was also a victim in the attack that killed Seb, and Seb's mother Abi find themselves struggling to keep a lid on their emotions as the court case looms.

Other future plots Coronation Street teased include Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) trying to juggle girlfriend Alina Pop and his duties as a father to Hope ? all while trying to ignore his jealousy over Fiz's new relationship with Phill.

In upcoming episodes, Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will be fully aware of Todd Grimshaw's scheming ways and be seen wrestling himself over attempting to win back Billy Mayhew by exposing his lies once and for all, or keeping quiet
