    Becky and Claire

Coronation Street's Katherine Kelly has teased about an upcoming storyline between her character Becky Granger and cabbie Claire Peacock (Julia Haworth).

Speaking to DS on the red carpet at this year's Inside Soap Awards, the 29-year-old said: "Claire and Becky strike up a weird, weird friendship because the kids are a similar age, Josh and Amy. Josh has started swearing thanks to Amy, so the trouble begins. One minute [Becky and Claire] are good friends and the next, they're really not."

She added: "Becky takes Claire out drinking and Claire makes Becky join amateur dramatics… it's all very fun."

Josh learning swear words from Amy? Surely they are in sign language as she never utters a word

Not so unusual considering Claire works for Becky's husband.

The friendship could work as it would be nice to see Becky with some kind of friend instead of being with the Croppers

I think Becky would be a good friend - does she have any besides the Croppers?

She doesn't seem close to anyone. Which is a shame as she is a really nice girl
