CRAZY Sally Spode burns down vicar Ashley Thomas’s cottage with his wife Laurel trapped inside.

Sally (Sian Reeves, 44) is trying to take over Laurel’s life so she can once again sink her claws into Ashley.

She dated the happily-wed vicar (John Middleton, 56) when they were young and wants to rekindle their romance.

But his loving wife Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy, 35) is in the way. And bunnyboiler Sally’s antics take a sinister turn when she sets the cottage alight knowing full well Laurel is inside.

A source said: “What most viewers won’t know is that Charlotte [above] was heavily pregnant when we filmed the scenes.

“She was crawling across the floor with six foot flames burning around her and all the while she was trying to hide her baby bump.

“Charlotte didn’t let anything get in her way and the scenes are amazing.”

Wonder if Laurels hospitalisation will be used as the story to cover her maternity leave. At least it would be more realistic than her and Ash splitting up again

There is nothing for her to return to. She does not feel maternal towards her daughter and Diane can keep on visiting her in Brighton.

I think so. Diane has never mentioned her having another child since she left Emmerdale.

Bernice has a daughter, father, mother and sister and new baby niece still living in Emmerdale she could come visit them. She did leave on good terms with Ashley if i remember correctly.
