ABC has ordered a full season of new drama FlashForward, it has been announced.

The back nine pickup includes the episode that marks the six-month point foretold by the titular event.

FlashForward, which stars Joseph Fiennes, Dominic Monaghan and Sonya Walger, has helped the network to the number one spot in the 18-49 demo in its Thursday night slot.

ABC has also given full season orders to three freshman comedies: Courteney Cox's Cougar Town, faux documentary Modern Family and Patricia Heaton's The Middle.

I like it though I mean its not amazing but I like the idea

I do think that Joseph Fiennes should lay of the botox though.

I really am liking this show at the moment. I fear it is going to get more confusing each week ha!

Apart from that it was a better episode - just. At least the acting was slightly better
