Chesney (Sam Aston) has written to John (Graeme Hawley) and tells Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) that if they stay at No.5 then he’s prepared to live with her and John. Fiz is thrilled at his change of heart. She visits John and ticks him off about sending the letters but explains at least one good thing has come of it with Chesney’s change of heart. Amused Sally believes him and they head for an anniversary drink in the Rovers. But what will Sally say to Molly?

Peter (Chris Gascoyne) and Leanne (Jane Danson) excitedly discuss their plans for the new bar. Later at Ken’s birthday celebrations Bill (Peter Armitage) starts talking about the plans and Ken (William Roache) is horrified as he realises what Peter has up his sleeve. Ken, Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) and Blanche (Maggie Jones) think it’s a recipe for a disaster – an alcoholic and an arsonist and are convinced Leanne must be behind the whole thing. They are both single and if they find they like the same things, I don't have a problem with them being happy together
