    2656: Sarah nearly slaps Charlotte
Airs on Monday, September 28 2009 at 18:30 BST on Channel 4

Ravi returns home from hospital, determined to handle his recovery alone. Bel, Gov and Leila are delighted to have him back, but their overbearing concern leads Ravi to reject their help. Leila reveals to Ravi that Anita felt unable to greet him from the hospital as she's still reeling from the news of her adoption.

When Ravi and Anita come face to face, he explains the adoption from his perspective. Anita, however, is incandescent. Unable to fight back her feelings of betrayal, Anita pushes Ravi away and he falls on his back.

Anita later attempts to make amends with her brother. Content with his newly-reunited family, Ravi realises how much he needs them and appreciates their support. An excited Bel reveals that Gov has been offered a new job and that the move will be a fresh start for them all - they're moving to Middlesborough! Ravi's shocked by his parents' bombshell and faces the prospect of his family slipping away from him.

Meanwhile, Hannah finds herself with free tickets to a music festival but puzzles over how to get there. Josh suggests that they take his car as India left the keys behind. The siblings, however, agree that their father will need some persuading. To their dismay, a firm Nev demands that Josh hand the keys over. Rhys and Josh attempt to break open the strong box where they think he's hidden them but once they're in, they realise they've been duped.

Determined to get one over on his dad and make it to the festival, Rhys sets about sawing at the wheel clamp chains and plans to hotwire it. Gilly, however, shows up with the keys - Nev's insured him on the car for his trip.

As Rhys distracts Gilly, Hannah approaches from behind and pulls a sleeping bag over him. With that, Hannah, Rhys and Josh make a speedy getaway. Nev later discovers that his children have pulled a fast one - and they're on their way to Hazy Dayz!

While Sarah tells Zoe how happy she is to be back with Lydia, a jealous Lydia is annoyed at the sight of them together. Sarah, meanwhile, voices her concerns about Charlotte and tells Zoe about the dead flowers that Lydia received. Charlotte, however, names Zoe as the person who sent them. Lydia then advises Sarah to distance herself from Zoe and suggests that she sent the flowers.

An infuriated Sarah demands that Charlotte come clean but the girls head for a fight and Sarah goes to slap her, before being pulled away. Sarah's furious with Lydia for causing problems between her and Zoe, so when Fernando offers her tickets to join their trip, Sarah invites Zoe along without Lydia knowing. Lydia's filled with hatred as she watches them leave together.

Elsewhere, sick with jealousy, Gilly realises that he can't bear to be around Steph and Fernando on their trip. When Rhys rejects his offer to join them, Gilly tells Steph that he's not up to doing a parachute jump and uses money as an excuse to get out of it. Fernando, however, steps in and insists that he will cover his costs. Steph's impressed by Fernando's generosity and it looks like Gilly has no way out.

2657: Sasha returns to the village
Airs on Tuesday, September 29 2009 at 18:30 BST on Channel 4

Anita continues to pack her belongings as she prepares to leave Hollyoaks with her parents. Although she's relieved at the chance of a fresh start, she hates the thought of not having Leila and Ravi around. Meeting with Ricky, she's gutted to find that he's still frosty with her, so she uses the fact she's leaving town as a way to make up with him. Ricky's upset that Anita's leaving but hides it well as he's still hurting over her kiss with Newt.

Gaz's arrival sends both Anita and Ricky into a panic and although he's terrified of Gaz, Ricky stands up for Anita and tells him to leave. Anita's moved by Ricky's protective behaviour but when the time comes for them to say goodbye, Ricky coolly heads off and leaves an upset Anita behind.

Back home, Leila tries to comfort her little sister and insists that Middlesbrough is the break that she needs but Anita's convinced she'll ruin her new life there, too. Unsure as to how she can help her daughter, Bel suggests that she tracks down Anita's birth mother. This, however, only serves to confirm Anita's thoughts that she's no longer wanted.

A text from Ricky asking if they can say a proper goodbye is the confirmation that Anita needs - she belongs in Hollyoaks and tells her family that she's staying put. Bel and Leila try their best to dissuade her but Anita's adamant that she's staying where she is.

Meanwhile, Archie's desperately trying to make amends with everyone but is finding it extremely difficult. His offer of breakfast is bluntly refused by Hayley, who can't bring herself to forgive Archie for conning Zak out of thousands of pounds.

Later, Archie arrives at the SU Bar and offers to buy everyone's drinks but is once again left standing alone. He then bumps into Leila and although things are still awkward after their brief fling, she actually acknowledges his existence. Archie explains that he's been ostracised from the group and is at a loss over what more he can do. Leila simply tells him to try harder.

Dave, Zak and Hayley return to halls and to their surprise, find the place gleaming with a Thai meal and beers, all courtesy of Archie. Dave tucks straight into the food and soon enough, Hayley follows. But for Zak, it's too little too late…

Elsewhere, Sasha returns from her trip to Manchester, completely unaware of what's happened in her absence. She expects a warm welcome from her family but is surprised to find the house deserted. She can't find any of her friends and random belongings around the house suggest that either Leo or Calvin has a new girlfriend.

Sasha finally tracks down Calvin at The Loft but immediately becomes suspicious of his cagey behaviour. Sasha's unimpressed to see that The Loft's up for sale but when Spencer refuses to acknowledge her, she's at a loss over what to do.

At MOBs, Cheryl quickly puts her foot in it, revealing to Sasha that Spencer has moved into sheltered accommodation. Sasha's gobsmacked as Calvin tries his best to explain how hard things have been in her absence. Although Calvin makes Sasha feel guilty for not being around, she still can't accept his reasons for shipping Spencer out.

Later, Sahsa's furious to discover that Cheryl's moved in. With that, Calvin and Leo are forced to tell Cheryl that she'll have to move out. Determined to make amends, Sasha visits Spencer but she's upset when he insists that he doesn't need her. Knowing deep down Spencer doesn't want to sell The Loft, Sasha uses her knowledge to win him round and the pair pull down the 'for sale' sign.

2658: Merecedes, Malachy reveal their plans to sue
Airs on Wednesday, September 30 2009 at 18:30 BST on Channel 4

Malachy and Mercedes are despondent about their lack of job prospects. When they notice that Spencer's re-opening The Loft, Mercedes's interest is piqued. Meanwhile, a naïve Spencer realises that running The Loft is going to be harder than he thought. Even though Sasha offers to help, Spencer's adamant that he can go it alone.

With the building work nearly complete, Malachy asks Calvin for the wages he's owed. Explaining that there's a cash flow problem as Spencer's not selling, Malachy fails to see what the hold up is and seethes as Calvin rushes off without coughing up.

Back home, Mercedes is alarmed to discover the postcard from Canada in Malachy's pocket and begins to wonder if he's having second thoughts about heading to Canada in his hunt for work.
Finding Spencer, Mercedes offers her services as a barmaid but she only succeeds in upsetting him and backs off, surprised at his vehemence. Shaken from his run-in with Mercedes, Spencer injures himself with a screwdriver.

Turning to Calvin and Sasha, he soon asks them for help in running the club. However, seeking revenge on Spencer, Mercedes announces her plans to sue him for Malachy's not-so-recent accident at The Loft. Spencer, Sasha and Calvin are left reeling when they realise that Mercedes and Malachy's threat is serious…

Meanwhile, Bel's upset when Ravi manages to smash her favourite piece of china while helping them pack. Leila's thrilled to have found a perfect room to rent and despite Bel's attempts to convince her otherwise, Leila insists that she's staying in Hollyoaks. Ravi's embarrassed when he overhears a conversation between his parents. He listens with mounting shame when Bel suggests that she should apply for a carer's allowance to look after him.

Anita bemoans the injustice of having to move with her parents and beseeches Leila to let her stay, too. Trying to make light of the move, Anita refuses to listen and is disappointed when Leila dashes her hopes.

Downstairs, Ravi struggles to make himself heard over the usual family rowdiness but they're soon stunned into silence when he announces that he's staying put, too! With her dreams of independence disappearing fast, Leila offers to share with Ravi and before they realise what's happening, Anita's decides to stay, too.

Elsewhere, Jack and Frankie's search for Newt continues as they call the local hospitals and hostels in attempt to locate him. Tempers are soon tested, though, when Tom starts to feel neglected and demands to practice for his upcoming football match. Caught between a rock and a hard place, Jack finally relents and a thrilled Tom skips off to the park for some much-needed practice.

At the park, Jack imparts his footballing wisdom and Tom hungrily listens to his advice. With talk of George Best and the promise of following in his training footsteps, Tom's in his element.

2659: Bel and Gov leave Hollyoaks village
Airs on Thursday, October 1 2009 at 18:30 BST on Channel 4

The day of Bel and Gov's move to Middlesbrough has finally arrived. Bel's worried sick about how her children will cope on their own, especially Ravi who's still finding everyday tasks a challenge. Bel desperately wants Anita to join them and it breaks her heart that she won't. Anita finally manages to apologise to her father for losing him his job at the school but he insists that it's okay.

Gov admits to Bel that he's confident that their children will soon be joining them in Middlesbrough once the harsh reality of living alone dawns. After a teary goodbye, Bel and Gov leave Hollyoaks and their children behind.

Having read their parents' basic guide to bills and money, Anita, Leila and Ravi realise just how tight money is going to be. The girls decide to get jobs, prompting Ravi to feel useless. He's determined to prove them otherwise, though. Heading to The Dog, Ravi asks for work but becomes frustrated when Suzanne and Neville say that they can't employ him. In his haste to leave, he ends up falling over.

Back home, Ravi refuses any help from his sisters. While alone, though, a tea towel catches fire on the cooker. Knowing he can't make it on his own, he's forced to use his walking stick. Feeling like an old man - and a shadow of his former self - Ravi's had enough and breaks down in tears.

Meanwhile, still feeling bad about what happened at the activity centre, Gilly makes an effort to worm his way back into Steph's good books. He takes her some chocolate while she's working at MOBs and apologises profusely. Steph's mind, however, is elsewhere.

Steph's worried about Newt as he's still not returned and she also needs to find Tom shin pads for his football match. Loretta makes matters worse when she reveals that she's unable to take the dance class as she's pulled a muscle. Gilly's more than happy to step in and offers to take Tom to football.

At the match, Tom's ecstatic to be picked for the team but with no referee, the game's called off. Not wanting Tom to miss out on his big chance, Gilly steps in. Steph arrives in time to watch but is horrified to witness Tom playing dirty. When booked by Gilly, Tom sees red and kicks the ball at Gilly's groin. Tom's sent off and taken home by a mortified Steph, who can't apologise enough to Gilly.

Back at the flat, a forgiving Gilly tries to explain to Tom that his thuggish behaviour will get him nowhere in football, prompting the youngster to apologise. Steph's impressed with Gilly's advice but is alarmed by her sudden and unexpected attraction.

Elsewhere, Cheryl's once again faced with the prospect of losing the roof over her head and is determined to win Calvin around somehow. She starts by playing the perfect housewife but Calvin sees straight through her efforts and warns Cheryl that she still has to leave. Calvin, meanwhile, struggles to cope with The Loft and as the opening draws closer, he fears that he's out of his depth.

The feud between Calvin and Malachy only adds to his stress and seeing his predicament, Cheryl decides to intervene. She persuades Malachy and Mercedes to drop their claim providing they're both given jobs at The Loft. Spencer reluctantly agrees and Cheryl manages to keep her bed at the Valentines'.

2660: The Loft re-opens its doors
Airs on Friday, October 2 2009 at 18:30 BST on Channel 4

It's the day of The Loft's grand re-opening and everyone's game for a party. The day, however, gets off to a bad start. Sasha's livid that Calvin's taken on Mercedes and Malachy behind her back, while Spencer has his own visions for the evening's entertainment, having hired gambling tables, showgirls, a belly dancer and a bingo caller.

As chaos ensues, Spencer tries to take charge but no-one listens. Everything eventually falls into place and they're ready to open the doors, but it all proves too much for Spencer who sacks everyone and throws them out. With the queue of clubbers increasing outside, they all try to persuade Spencer to let them back in. Spencer eventually relents, on one condition - he's the boss!

The clubbers dance the night away, but Sasha's completely humiliated when her love life is broadcast to the whole bar. Upset, she rushes to the toilets. She's surprised, though, when Mercedes encourages her to show the locals that she doesn't care what they think. The girls finally join forces, determined to make the night a success.

When the beer runs out, though, Mercedes turns to desperate measures to keep everyone happy and with Myra's help, she strikes up a game of kiss or cocktail bingo. The beer eventually returns to the pumps and the night turns into a huge success.

Meanwhile, Leila and Ravi find it difficult to run the house without their parents. Leila's annoyed when Anita leaves the kitchen in a state and asks her to clean it up. Anita, however, refuses to listen and instead heads out with a bottle of wine to see Ricky.

Feeling useless and suffocated, Ravi snaps at Leila when she tries to do everything for him. Leila heads off to The Loft re-opening but bumps into Anita and Ricky on the way. Leila quickly realises that Anita's been drinking and as she berates her sister, she's horrified when Anita throws up all over her.

Furious, Leila marches Anita home. On her return, though, she feels guilty when she notices that Ravi's scolded himself while trying to make his dinner. With her night ruined, Leila can't help but think that from now on, she'll have to look after her brother and sister.

Elsewhere, Josh is thrilled when bags the DJ spot at The Loft's re-opening. Hayley and Josh continue to snipe at each other and when Josh receives a call from Sahsa, Hayley's quick to point out that he doesn't stand a chance with her. Hayley's shocked, though, when Josh reveals that he slept with Sasha in Manchester.

The freshers head down to The Loft for the party but Josh is gutted when Hayley inadvertently broadcasts to the whole bar that Sasha's slept with Dave, too. Josh can't believe his mate would do that to him and heads back to halls, feeling like an idiot. Dave, however, eventually persuades him to go back to the club.
