Holby City Spoilers 28th September 2021

Next week on Holby City, Eli's backstory is revealed, while Josh struggles with his new responsibilities and the net finally closes in on Jeni.

Here's a full collection of the seven biggest moments coming up:

1. Donna and Fletch panic over Jeni

Evie and Mia have given their statements to the police, but Donna and Fletch are in the dark over what's happening with Jeni.

Fletch struggles to focus on work, but is assured by a supportive Donna that Jeni will almost certainly be in a police cell by now and will never be able to hurt anyone again.

However, they get the shock of their lives when Jeni boldly turns up to work ? without a care in the world. And after Sacha obviously gives away Mia's whereabouts, Donna and Fletch are left fearing that the worst could still be yet to come.

2. Eli's backstory is revealed

We were always told that newcomer Eli was hiding a tragic backstory and this is about to be explored in earnest when fans learn more about his personal life next week.

Eli is thrown to see his wife Amelia turn up at the hospital and things grow tense when he finds out why she's there.

It turns out that it's the day of their latest IVF treatment, but when Amelia springs an awkward surprise on Eli, he struggles to rise to the challenge...

3. Josh's past comes back to haunt him

Josh is pushing himself to the limits ? desperate to keep on top of his responsibilities at work, as well as be the perfect dad and partner to Ange.

Despite his efforts, his day takes a turn following an unplanned visit from his mum Elaine.

Realising what Josh is juggling, Elaine addresses her concern that he might be falling into old habits again. What is he hiding?

4. Eli faces a personal crisis

Eli struggles with the pressure surrounding the IVF treatment, and it's not long before the cracks are showing in his marriage.

When Amelia suddenly collapses, Eli makes it his priority to tend to her ? irritating Jac in the process.

Once alone, Amelia implores Eli to put their relationship first and questions why he is still at the hospital, when the stent trial is no longer happening. Can Eli continue juggling both plates or has something got to give?

5. Fletch finally confronts Jeni

The net will finally close in on Jeni next week, as she realises the police are after her.

Despite her attempts to flee, some quick thinking from Evie allows Fletch to catch up with her ? where they have the ultimate showdown.

Fletch confronts Jeni about what she did to Evie, but she pleads with him to not give up on their relationship. Struggling to control his emotions, Fletch contemplates taking shocking action, but can Evie talk him out of it? And will justice finally prevail?

6. Josh and Eli bond

At the end of a difficult day, Josh and Eli form an unlikely bond when their individual personal problems collide.

As Eli struggles to cope with the strain IVF is having on his marriage, he finds an unlikely ally in Josh ? who is also feeling the pressure of his own responsibilities with his newborn twins.

After a heart-to-heart, the pair make a pact to start jogging together as an escape from their hectic lives, but could this be the start of a surprising new friendship?

7. Lucky's life hangs in the balance

Lucky is still in a coma following her attack, but the team are hoping to start easing her off the sedation.

Sadly, tragedy strikes before they get a chance and Max is devastated to learn that Lucky's condition is now a lot more serious than they thought.

But as the truth about Jeni's sinister behaviour spreads around the hospital, could it be too little too late where Lucky is concerned?
