Romeo is on board with changing his surname from Quinn to Nightingale, but Juliet needs some convincing and John Paul is on hand to help after seeing how much it means to James.

Later, James is blindsided when Courtney asks if he's going to Jesse's funeral tomorrow. He tells Grace that he doesn't think he'll be able to hold it together, feeling responsible for Jesse's death after he found out that James and Grace had shot Mercedes.

Meanwhile, Maxine is giddy with excitement about her potential new clients at the re-launch of Donovans' salon. She's pleased that she'll be able to pay Liam back legitimately, but he piles on the guilt when he brings up Jesse's funeral, still blaming her for his brother's death.

Elsewhere, Jordan flirts his way back under Leela's roof and is attracting the attention of Peri too. They arrange to go to a party tomorrow and as a warm up, they go to The Loft that night.

James has been taking sleeping pills, struggling with the guilt over Jesse. He wakes up with no intention of attending Jesse's funeral, until Grace shows up on his doorstep and forces his hand.

Everyone gathers as Jesse's hearse arrives, but when a suspicious Mercedes tells James that she knows his secret, James panics that she knows he shot her.

At the wake, Courtney makes a speech and when she starts blaming herself for what happened to Jesse, James blurts out that she needs to know the truth, readying to tell her that he was responsible for her husband's death.

James escapes to The Dog but is tricked into having dinner with John Paul and Mercedes. Later he receives an anonymous note saying, 'I know you shot Mercedes'.

Meanwhile, Sid wants him and Juliet to be more exciting as a couple, but Juliet is livid at the suggestion that she's boring. Jordan offers to help Sid and asks him to stash some drugs at school. Sid is unaware that Nancy has arranged for PC George Kiss to do a sweep of every student's locker at school tomorrow.

James studies the letter he received, but Grace has received one too and they panic that someone else knows that they shot Mercedes.

Liam thinks that Sylver or John Paul might be responsible, having picked something up in 'pillow talk'. He tells James and Grace to find out.

Meanwhile, Marnie appeals to Edward's yearning for sophistication by arranging a string quartet to play at Salon De Thé next week. She asks him to give them a blast of his cello playing skills too. However, he's distracted by how optimistic Tony is after his therapy sessions.

Elsewhere, Sid heads off to school with Jordan's drugs, while PC Kiss arrives for a locker search.

Also today, Romeo and Celeste continue sleeping together, but Romeo has to hide again when Toby arrives home.

Mercedes and Tony reunite after what happened at the pig farm and she gives him some advice on how to move things on with Diane.

Tony asks Diane on a date and hopes that they can take things to the next level.

Meanwhile, Jordan asks Juliet to work for him, and Romeo is unnerved when Toby appears to know about him and Celeste.

Elsewhere, James asks John Paul if they could give their relationship another try. John Paul agrees, and they kiss.

Liam and his heavies trash The Dog, in front of a scared Mercedes.

Meanwhile, Juliet begins working for Jordan, leaving Sid worried for her safety.

Elsewhere, as Tony prepares for the perfect date night with Diane, Edward simmers and plots to ruin everything.

Also today, Tom spots Romeo and Celeste kissing and warns Romeo to stop for his own safety. However, the allure of Celeste is too much for Romeo to resist.
