Ian returns to the Square following a dressing-down from Kathy, who's unhappy with him for not getting in touch about Bobby. Ben suggests the family should celebrate with a drink at The Vic, but Bobby's presence at the pub causes more tensions with Max.
Bobby ends up getting support from an unlikely source, but it's still all too much for him and he rushes home.
Meanwhile, Mel secretly goes through Jack's bank statements when looking after Amy, who is unwell. Later at The Vic, Mel shares a kiss with Max – witnessed by a jealous Rainie.
Elsewhere, Sonia is suspicious when Jack asks how Tiffany is.
Also today, Jay starts to feel that he's not good enough for Ruby, while Habiba is shocked when Adam accuses her of trying to find someone else.

Mel goes for a drink with Max, who's struggling to get her off his mind. However, when Mel sees Jack with Muski – the officer who arrested Hunter – she finds an excuse to leave and makes a suspicious call.
Jack is talking to Muski about Fraser, but he's unsatisfied by the response he receives and decides to take matters into his own hands by following Fraser.
Meanwhile, Ian assumes that Max is responsible when he discovers that Bobby has a bruised face. When Max denies all knowledge, Bobby is forced to reveal what really happened. Later, Ian is shocked to discover that Masood has left and that Max is his new business partner.
Elsewhere, Gray is disappointed when he overhears Mitch telling Karen that he doesn't like him.
Also today, Billy tells Lola that Jay is having doubts about Ruby, while Jean gets wound up by newcomer Daniel at the hospital.

Ben ends up resorting to drastic measures to make sure that Lola sticks around, but will it be enough?

Elsewhere, Chantelle gives Mitch some home truths after he declines a kind offer from Gray.
Also today, Jean is annoyed at the oncology unit when she discovers that Daniel has taken her book without asking. Daniel regrets his bad behaviour when Jean storms off.
