Neighbours returnee Madison Robinson will stumble across Amy Williams's secret past next week.

Madison (Sarah Ellen) is working as a trainee at the West Waratah Star newspaper when she finds herself involved in a story that's a little too close to home.

The trouble all kicks off when Madison's uncle Paul helps her out by putting her on the trail of a hot scoop, unaware that the very same story could cause public humiliation for his own daughter Amy.

Paul picks up the scent of an interesting story when he discovers that Tom Quill has mysteriously hired a new cleaning contractor called Ryan for Lassiters Hotel.

New recruit Ryan currently runs an agency which employs women to clean in their lingerie - and Amy is among his past clients.

When Ryan starts hassling Amy by threatening to expose her past, Tom brings him into Lassiters on the strict condition that he leaves her alone in return. Tom also hopes that his 'knight in shining armour' act will impress his on-off love interest Aaron Brennan.

However, when Paul encourages Madison to look into Ryan's background, he's completely unaware that she is about to uncover photos of Amy dressed as a sexy maid.

Monday

Madison is excited to read her first published article, but is floored to see Paul's changes. Mark, Terese, Sheila and Brad's profiles have all been edited into highly personal and professional attacks. Others, such as Steph, Toadie and Piper, have been praised. When Madison discovers her editor didn't make the changes, Amy realises it must have been Paul seeking retribution.

Madison confronts Paul and he admits that he only did it so the world would know the truth - it's payback to those who falsely imprisoned him. Madison is gutted by Paul's betrayal.

Meanwhile, Piper admits to Tyler that she still hasn't spoken to her parents about them being together. He urges her to do so. When Piper tries to talk to Terese, her mother refuses to give her permission to see Tyler. Piper then goes to Brad and is thrilled when he agrees to discuss it, on the proviso that Terese is open for a discussion too. Knowing that Terese won't be up for that kind of talk, Piper tells her mother that Brad is on board with the relationship if she is, but Terese's attitude remains unchanged.

Deluding herself that her mother will eventually come around, Piper tells Tyler a white lie about Brad and suggests they should embark on a secret relationship until Piper can convince her mother.

Elsewhere, when Paul points out that Steph should be focusing on Charlie's needs, not her own, she questions her future with Mark. However, she soon announces to Mark that – after thinking about it - their future is together.


Tuesday

Tyler is concerned to realise that Ben and Xanthe have spotted him making out with Piper. He takes Ben's advice and pushes for total transparency with Brad and Terese, rather than sneaking around. Xanthe similarly cautions Piper about secret-keeping, but she is soon sidetracked by the romance of the situation and inadvertently encourages Piper in her decision to go for it with Tyler.

Piper tries again to extract a blessing from Terese, but Terese is unequivocal when she says she will never give it. Piper ignores Terese's warning and arranges another secret meeting with Tyler. Tyler again tries to slow things down, but when Piper reveals her plans to go all the way with him on the night of the school formal, he gives in to the romance.

Meanwhile, experiencing flashbacks and nightmares as a result of his time in jail after his wrongful conviction, Paul feels justified in his quest to vilify the people who put him in there.

When Madison moves out of the hotel and into the Willis house as a result of the fallout from the article Paul rewrote, he sticks to his guns - even when Amy expresses her disappointment in him. Gary helps Amy understand the root cause of Paul's actions.

Elsewhere, tensions continue to bubble between Sonya and Toadie after her ill-considered decision to have Nell's bone marrow tested. Taking an opportunity to talk to Steph about the problem, Sonya gratefully accepts Steph's offer of a night off from looking after Nell so that she and Toadie can have some intimate alone time together.

Determined not to forgive, Toadie rejects Sonya's advances and uses the time to catch up on neglected casework. Returning with Nell, Steph inadvertently mentions her chat with Sonya. Toadie's hackles rise as he reacts to his wife sharing intimate details of their relationship with his best friend.


Wednesday

The atmosphere remains tense between Sonya and Toadie after their flare-up, but they're pushing on despite the angst, even when Toadie commits them both to Brad's barbecue. They each seek out their best mates for advice. Sonya tells Mark that she feels burnt out, adding that maybe her being mumsy and unattractive is the problem. Mark dispels that.

Steph also calls Toadie to action, urging him to stop talking and start doing. Toadie proposes a solution to Sonya - they get physical every day for 30 days.

Meanwhile, Brad's youth program is on the brink of extinction, but he realises that Jack used to run a similar program up north. Brad earmarks him as a useful person to have on any future paperwork - and of course as a great brain to tap. When Brad hears that Off Air is shutting up shop, he leaps on it.

Elsewhere, Jack tells Paige that he needs space to make a decision about their relationship. Paige rages to Aaron, swearing that she's going to turn on all her seductive powers to break Jack's resistance.


Thursday

Paige tells her mum that she can't think straight around Jack and she's going to have to steer clear. It looks as if that might be difficult when Brad announces that Jack will be working closely with him on the Blaze Project. Lauren carefully broaches her worries about Paige and Jack to Brad. Although he promises to keep Jack's involvement to a minimum, it's clear the project means a lot to him as a way of honouring Josh, so Paige's romance will have to make way.

When Jack learns from Aaron that Paige was intending to seduce him at the BBQ, he is annoyed about his private life being publicly discussed. However, he has a moment of sizzling sexual tension while untying Paige's apron and has to admit that he can't think straight around her either.

After realising Jack shares the same feelings for her, Paige has a new plan of attack which involves being around him as much as possible.

Meanwhile, Brad pursues Sonya vigorously on the question of using Off Air as a meeting place for the youth group. Though she is worried about community reaction and is tough on Brad's plans, Sonya ultimately finds a loophole to give them the premises for nine months. Brad is over the moon, but things are little bit awkward when he discovers that Sonya wants to appoint Jack in an official capacity. He makes the deal, despite his promise to Lauren to limit Jack's involvement.

Elsewhere, Paul tries to mend fences with Madison by giving her a scoop. He has picked up on the scent of a story when Tom Quill brags about having hired a new cleaning contractor. Amy is oblivious to the content of the scoop and encourages Madison to pursue it - both Paul and Amy not realising that Madison will uncover the photos of Amy as a "sexy maid". What will Madison do?


Friday

Mark is surprised when he spots Steph's ex Belinda in town. When he reports the sighting to Steph, she wonders why Belinda would come to Erinsborough without letting her know. At the same time, Toadie has a meeting with Belinda, where it's revealed that an anonymous benefactor has hired Toadie to help Belinda get her nurse's registration back. Belinda is wary of the offer but is keen to get her life back. She is also thrown when Toadie inadvertently slips up and reveals that Steph is now dating a man.

Belinda gets up the gumption to visit Steph, subtly sounding out whether she is the person who is funding her legal expenses. Steph claims she's simply happy that Belinda will able to nurse again, but when Steph explains that she and Charlie have been reunited, Belinda feels the sting of knowing that Steph has moved on and is much happier without her.

Over in his yard, Mark discusses the repercussions of having Steph's ex-girlfriend in town. While his brothers try to help, he's left feeling unsettled. At The Waterhole, Belinda dismisses Paul when he tries to engage with her, until he reveals that he's her benefactor and that he brought her to town so she can break up Steph and Mark.

Meanwhile, shocked by the image she has found of Amy working as a lingerie cleaner, Madison sounds out Aaron. She learns that no-one else knows and that Amy would be devastated if Jimmy ever found out. Madison tries to kill the story, but her editor wants it and decides Madison isn't cut out for journalism because she lacks a killer instinct.

Devastated at being sacked, Madison tries to do the right thing by warning Ryan Prescott to wipe his website, trying to protect Amy. Later, Terese learns that Madison has lost her job and offers her the role of her assistant. Paul is not happy to learn that Madison has wasted the opportunity he won for her, but Madison claims Penny was right - she's not cut out to be a journo.

Elsewhere, Terese is in a great mood, so Piper decides to bite the bullet and tell her about Tyler taking her to the dance. Terese flat out refuses to allow them to go on a date, so Piper offers up an ultimatum - if she can't go with Tyler, she's not going with anyone. Terese tells her it's her choice, but she won't budge. Piper is left frustrated and weepy.
