Also ahead on Ramsay Street, Matt Turner is unnerved to discover a sketch that his wife Lauren drew of Brad Willis years ago.

After Matt (Josef Brown) confronts Lauren (Kate Kendall) and Brad (Kip Gamblin) over the sketch he found at the antique shop, Lauren tries to defend herself by arguing that she wanted to throw it out in the first place and it doesn't mean anything to her.

However, Matt is adamant there is more to it than she is letting on and he doesn't understand why she kept it from him all this time.

A distressed Lauren later goes to Susan for advice and reveals the reason she didn't tell Matt is because she produced the portrait during a difficult time in her life, and she doesn't want to talk about it with Matt.

Susan suggests that she has to try, but the damage has already been done for Matt, who can't help but feel completely betrayed.

Neighbours star Josef Brown has expressed his thoughts on the kiss his character's wife Lauren Turner shared with Brad Willis, saying that he believes they crossed a line.

Viewers have recently seen both the Turner and Willis families left in turmoil after Lauren and Brad revealed to their partners that they had shared a kiss while searching for their daughter Paige.

Brown, who plays Matt Turner in the soap, has shared his views in a detailed post on the Neighbours official site, adding that Brad and Lauren should have considered the ramifications of their actions.

He said: "Some emotion compelled Lauren and Brad to express whatever they were feeling through a shared physical intimacy.

"They could have shared a laugh, a revealing, bonding conversation, even an extended hug, but they didn't. They kissed. They allowed themselves to be drawn across a line they were both well aware existed.

"It is not as though they're unattached teenagers that might have arguably done it for fun, entertainment or adventure. They are parents and friends who are deeply committed and connected to their families and their shared community. They know the potential costs and ramifications."

Brown also added that he believes both his character Matt and Brad's wife Terese have a right to be angry and upset.

He said: "Terese and Matt want to believe it was 'just the moment' and 'just a kiss'. As reasonable adults with full life experiences, that, they could understand and forgive.

"But given the backstory, the shared daughter, that they live across the street, that they're all committed parents in loving family bonds, this 'kiss' has potentially life-altering ramifications that could upend or even destroy the lives of those personally connected.

"It could taint the memories of a lifetime shared and rip apart the dreams and hopes of a shared future."

Neighbours star Josef Brown has hinted that there could be bigger storylines on the way for his character Matt Turner.

The actor teased future plans for the police constable in a new video Q&A with his on-screen wife Kate Kendall, who plays Lauren.

Asked if there is a gritty storyline he would like to tackle on the soap, Brown replied: "Well, yes, and we're actually tackling some pretty gritty ones at the moment, which won't come on air for about another three months and maybe four months in the UK.

"But [there are] some lovely gritty ones at the moment."

Kendall added: "And you did a great job by the way!"

Matt has already faced a tough year, as his marriage to Lauren came under severe strain after he discovered that she had shared a kiss with her old flame Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin). They have since managed to get their relationship back on track.

Quizzed on whether he would forgive infidelity in real life, Brown joked: "That's a very personal one! Probably. I think it would depend on the infidelity! Is he good-looking, the guy? Because that would make it harder!"
