Talking of Bobby Beale, I think it's about time a hit list was made for him to get rid of the driftwood in Albert Square. A while ago I would have had Martin Fowler as top of the list but now I have really come round to the character and the actor and he is actually one of my favourites (which astonishes me). But Babe - please please please - send her to Bobby's school for the night and let him do a Bobby special with an ornament to the head or something. Nothing can make me like Babe in any way, shape or form. I blame DR WHO!!
I like your idea of a hit list for Bobby Beale, Suze, but Babe should definitely NOT be on it in my opinion (and I also saw her in Doctor Who)! :D
Alfie would have formerly been top of my list, now I'd say it's Shirley (even though she's improved slightly since she saw Dean's true colours). Vincent in gangster mode would be up there too although I don't mind him as a family man. (I'm not including obvious villains like despicable Dean.) I agree Martin's a much improved character these days.
Perhaps when Bobby's older EE will be the first UK soap to have a hitman as a main character. :D
Jane would be top of my hit list for Bobby followed closely by Abi.
I also think James Bye is doing well as Martin. A little while ago I did criticise the fact that Martin didn't seem to fit in well and that he was like a completely new character not like the Marrtin who was born and brought up on the Square and knew all these people like Dot, Ian, Kathy, Sharon etc. intimately. It was never a criticism of James but the writing itself and I do think he has done and is doing really well. I have to say though, I still only see flashes of interaction that remind me he is the same Martin.
Ben Mitchell leaves Abi Branning heartbroken on EastEnders tonight (February 15) as he desperately tries to tell her that he doesn't want their baby.
Still reeling from Abi's shock pregnancy announcement, Ben (Harry Reid) hopes that he can somehow fix this mess and find a way to be with Paul Coker.
After looking into termination options, Ben meets up with Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) at a cafe and tells her that he isn't ready to be a father again.
An upset Abi can't believe what she's hearing as Ben makes his feelings clear, but tensions rise even further when he starts to doubt whether she's pregnant at all...
EastEnders airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
Oo I wish I could like that post more! Ben being honest with Abi is what is needed. And then she can repay the complement .. :)
